The best new gold sink:

Auto-attacks cost 1 copper.

You never played Lineage 2 i think .. there were crafted items called soul- or spiritshots
that you could use to boost your attack damage .. and mostly you used one for every
single attack.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

Humm ok…

1. Get mounts in the game. Why? Well who likes to ride a horse or a polar bear or something else right?? I mean its soooo boring. Pfff bad idea at all. Actually i cant think of one successful mmorpg that has mounts.

2. Open Cantha. I mean this is just a bad idea overall. In fact we all should just write a petition and ask ANet to remove it from all the books and lore written so far. I should go as far as deleting the whole area in GW1 and say it was a virus attack or something. I mean, who would want a new wide open area map to explore, new meta events and possibly new classes or races associated with it?? Ridiculous.

3. Give a bit of everything to players. Lol what a ridiculous idea. I mean, im so happy with the game why i would even listen to some1 else wishes?? Pfff im ok with this. If i end up being the last player in the server its cool, i still can farm my legendary and hey i can try get a keep alone!! Awesome!!

Best of it is: i would be the only one in my server with a legendary and shinny gear!! Epix!!!

Hmmm… I would move the action to Cantha, human characters only, include only light armor classes that rely heavily on unarmed combat (Monk, Brawler, Assassin, Alchemist, Ritualist, Sorcerer). Melee weapons would all be disposable environmental weapons (though you could still equip skins for different types of weapon).

For combat, I’d base it around timing, use a controller-friendly setup inspired by fighting games, and would combine health, endurance, initiative, adrenaline, etc. into a single resource called “flux” that would be gained by successfully hitting, interrupting, comboing, blocking, dodging attacks, etc., and lost by being hit, blocked, or countered, using skills or dodges, and so on. Heals would no longer have a place, and attack spam would rapidly lead to defeat. Low-skill players would quit en masse, causing the entire game to fold.

Open Cantha but make it an underwater map. That’ll show those fanboys

Actually, serious idea here, open Cantha and have the Jade Sea be mostly underwater content.

When you look at the lore, that doesn’t make a lot of sense. All the water was turned into solid Jade, hence why it’s called the Jade Sea.

Actually, the Jade Sea was called such even before it petrified – because of its color (which in turn is why it turned to jade when it petrified, rather than say, Sapphire).

And in GW1, after Shiro’s death, there were rumors of the Jade Sea beginning to liquify from the bottom up. So either the case would be that there’d be solid jade islands in a liquid sea, or dig deep enough and you get a sea trapped beneath the solid surface.

To ruin the game, one thing must be done…

Keep trying to convince the players that Scarlet was a good character.

What do you mean? Scarlet was a great character. She also has an evil twin sister, Myrtle, who is plotting revenge on the heroes that killed Scarlet in the next season of LS.

The avatar of the pale tree tells them that they must take it to the volcano in Mount Maellstrom to destroy it. The hero was summoned and along the way Logan Thackery and Lord Farren join to help the two quaggan on their journey. Each step in the instanced LS will be mainly walking and a healthy amount of dialog. Add only a few (but epic) fight scenes in the entire Season 3 line.

- Mesmers get to stay in stealth until all of their clones are killed (or the player uses an attack spell), and only then is the real Mesmer revealed.

- Thieves can now mimic the exact appearance of an enemy team member or mob until they attack, similar to the Spy in Team Fortress games. Ranger pets can detect this behavior.

- Stealth characters become semi-visible when passing through fields (eg, fire moves out of the way) and they leave footprints on maps with snow/sand etc.

- Warriors, Rangers and Engineers get thermal goggles to see player heat signatures through stealth.

- Elementalists can counter eachothers element (Water > Fire > Earth > Air > Water etc), but only against other Elementalists.

- When a teammate dies, the Necromancer has a chance to raise that ally as his own skeletal minion. The Necromancer can sacrifice his own health pool to keep the skeleton alive, but the Necro shares all damage taken with the skeleton as well. The player playing as a skeleton only moves at cripple speed, but does massive melee damage and cannot be CC’d. If the Necro tries to raise another ally, the pre-existing player-skeleton dies instantly and is queued to respawn.

- Guardians can no longer attack enemies, but the only way to do damage to a Guardian is to buy a special bundle weapon from the gem store, or to be another Guardian but of a different race.

  • All Bandits now steal random items when they hit.
  • Elementalists can now only use their elemental spells near that element.
  • Ranger pets now age, and die eventually, just like real pets do.
  • Ranger pet funerals have been added to the Gem Store, along with fitting attire.
  • Every enemy in the game can now only be killed once a day.
  • Mesmers have their name reverted to their original class name, the Jester.
  • Thieves must now use cartboard boxes, and camouflage to stealth.
  • Thief camouflage styles have been added to the Gem Store.

We understand that many of you aren’t satisfied with the new and improved new player experience yet, so we decided to allocate all our resources to making a new and better new and improved new player experience instead of working on stuff for Veteran players. We feel that the game is still too difficult for some players to understand, so we decided to remove pets and clones from the game so you don’t have to micromanage anything and only have to figure out how to press WASD and the numbers 1-0! We expect this new and better new and improved new player experience to be released with the April Feature Pack that will also release even more back skins that no one asked for and a new balance pass that is probably three months too late! We look forward to seeing you all in game again soon!

I would have it so ALL guns fired flowers instead of bullets. Oh yeah and thieves would stand out 1000 times more than other classes when not stealthed, they would have this bullseye target on them automatically and be auto targeted by every enemy player/mob nearby.

Also, ALL Mesmer’s that are currently NOT wearing purple/pink would automatically have their armour colours adjusted to the correct pink/purple that they should be wearing.

- No AOE cap.
- End of overflows
- Reduce the number of servers and end Megaserver.
- Close EOTM and change that map to a test server for new mechanics where all characters created are auto lvl 80 with any gear since is a wvw test server.
- give thief infinite stealth but any actions/hit/failed atack would disrupt stealth
- Mesmer could store about 4 portal locations.
- Change WvW map.
- Add several tech trees to guild like an rpg game where guild had to choose with race tech they wanted.
- give more armor to guardian, so low vit builds can have better efect.

this is a few things i would do to ruin the game.

I’d deal with WvW trolls by trying to band-aid each trolling method one-by-one and case-by-case instead of using the report system to ban the trolls themselves.

The money I’d save terminating the contracts of those who deal with reports I’d either spend on:

  • chasing the next trolling method that the trolls come up with (remember that the trolls are still around).
  • or maybe I’d declare victory after the two or three most visible and embarrassing troll methods are gone and buy some overtime for designers to create a couple more gemstore-exclusive items.

Oh, I’d also create zero new WvW maps and zero new dungeons. Maybe I’d add a new sPvP map that’s one long narrow beam in the sky; there’d be hammers as environmental weapons every few steps that come with only one skill: “Banish.” This map would be put into the rotation for both team and solo queues. Perhaps tournament play as well.

*Scarlet is back but with pony ears and a unicorn horn. We’ve also made Twilight Arbor 20% cooler and confirmed a FiM tie in with Spike the dragon guiding you through the new “Friendship” path. Can you defeat the army of rabid Bronies insisting everything references My Little Pony and free Tara Strong? Check the Gem Store this week too for the “Cupcakes” finisher.

*Due to popular demand, we’ve removed all gear except Beserker’s from the game and removed the ability to select trait lines. All players will now automatically be traited for Beserker stats. We’ve also recoded every enemy as a structure that cannot take critical damage.

*Children are now able to be picked up and thrown, similar to snowballs and rocks.

*We’re pleased to unveil our first new playable race – Grubs! Choose from Forest, Luminous, or Disgruntled.

*To further aid new players, all characters under level 50 will be accompanied by Trahearne as they traverse the land of Tyria. In addition to offering inspiring quotes, useless information, and random buffs, Trahearne will do less damage than a first level character and die constantly. Reviving him will unlock the “Saved Trahearne’s kitten ” collection in which players can earn achieves for reviving Trahearne in various maps.

*Added a new ability for Logan Thackery – Steelguard.

*Because you’ve asked for it, we’re opening a new map in Spring of 2015. Prepare to explore Karka Land – a failed amusement park near Cantha!

*Our next branch of the Living Story will be called “Reach Out To Me” and will focus solely on your character standing there awkwardly while Kasmeer and Majory exchange sappy loving words that you cannot skip through for thirty minutes.

*SAB is returning! Can you defeat Nentindu, the ancient dragon? Join in with all your friends for this 200 man 8-bit raid with an hour long waiting cue!

*Due to popular demand, we’ve decided to make it even harder to join the map your guild/friends are on and have decided all maps instantly cap if more than 20 people join via a party.

Tequatl the Sunless now exclusively drops blue level 80 gear. Also added an achieve "I Fought Teq And All I Got Was This S**t".

*Due to repeated requests to fix armor clipping and fits on Charr characters, we have removed the ability to wear armor from Charr.

*We’ve made WvW mandatory for all players. Check the Gem Store for our new finishers now usable in WvW – L2P N00B and The “Teabag”.

We here at Arena Net hope these changes continue to improve your Guild Wars 2 experience.

Eliminate PvP everywhere and replace WvWvW with emote dance fighting arenas.

Any chat comparisons to other games that allow PvP will log out players and redirect them to search results for other games.

Considering WvWvW is mostly who has the most people online at one time, I can totally support dance fights.

But there’s other WvWvW improvements:
As proven by many other games, WvWvW is too complex. Two-server limit, so it’s actually WvW.
Or, even better, include a two-faction system for PvE and let that determine where you show up in WvW!
Or, three-faction, and let the Priory, Vigil, and Whisper duke it out!
(Similar to FF14 and a similarly nonsensical “let’s work together against a common outside threat but fight internally over resources” kinda way~)

Oh, and the best thing for WvW/PvE: Zerg Debuff! For every person over 5 within Range 2000, you lose 1% of your stats.

Many alts; handle it!

Add ‘The Aging Factor’. Just like real life.

Your character starts out weak and gets stronger as it levels, so far the same. The difference is, you reach max strength at about level 20. You stay there until about level 50 and then start to decline in strength. At level 80 you are again weak and have to play in the starter zones again.

After your character has leveled 20 more times past level 80, the next time it dies to anything at all, it is permadeath for that character and you need to reroll it.

Remove all classes.

Make all trait lines available in a tree format.

Make the kind of armor you can wear based on how deep into a Toughness-based branch of certain trees (so something like Master tier for Warrior and Guardian trees or Grandmaster for Engineer to wear Heavy armor).

Make skills available for weapons (swappable) based on how deep into Power/Precision/Condition branch you are for each tree.

Boost toughness damage mitigation and healing power scaling to be viable alternatives to dodging.

Base endurance recovery rate on how deep you go into Vitality branch for certain trees (so a Grandmaster in the Thief or Ranger tree would regenerate endurance faster than, say, Elementalist or Necromancer tree).

Yes, I’m a fan of freeform character building, I sup upon the tears of the balancing teams and enjoy the lamentations of players who prefer a more structured approach to growing characters.

1. All precursors permanently soulbound on acquire. Yes, soulbound.
2. No precursors from RNG of any sort. Acquisition now requires completion of a solo fractal instance, the contents thereof being randomized with a final enemy on the order of Giganticus Lupicus or a procedurally generated puzzle that will bring most players to tears. Access requires lvl 80, one Gift of Exploration, and one bloodstone shard. This pays out once per account.
3. Achievements for multiple legendaries retired permanently.
4. Dawn, Dusk, Sunrise, Twilight, Eternity permanently removed from all drop tables.
5. New areas opened without map features (skill points, POIs, Vistas, nodes) to make them obvious.
6. SAB reinstituted and updated regularly.
7. Bar Brawl added to the activities rotation.
8. All face/options available during character creation.
9. A new monument posted in the center of LA, marking the place where the last horse in Tyria was beaten into extinction because it would not bear a rider, ever.
10. Falling through the map causes your health to quickly and continuously drain, just like in the first Metroid.
11. Damage ceiling.
12. Monsters must abide by the same rules that players must, unless of Champion or higher status.

Hmm… ruin things, you say? I don’t know if these would ruin them necessarily, but it would be fun to find out.

1. I’d give every account a reward chest with a precursor of their choice in it.

That way, everybody who wanted to work on a legendary could have 1 chance to get their precursor out of the way. For everybody else, you’d have a chance to sell one and get some gold. After some time, the market would balance back to normal-ish levels, and everyone would be happy. Maybe. I personally would be thrilled and love the game more than ever.

2. I’d give every account a chest with the choice between an infinite bank golem, an infinite hair changer, or an infinite revive orb or something.

See above for reasoning. Also, I know that they are super rare income generators for ANET, but you’d have to figure at this point they’re not making much off them anymore. Anybody crazy enough to pay for one (or the black lion chests to get one) has already done so and they could then make some money off the TP, and the rest of us would be thrilled to get one.

3. I’d make bloodstone dust sellable at NPCs.

I have 15 stacks or so of that stuff sitting in inventory, just taking up space. With ANET’s habit of going back and changing things to make them worthwhile, I can’t bring myself to just toss them! Why not make them sellable.

4. Open SUPER ADVENTURE BOX permanently.

Not sure why people love this as much as they do. I mean….. don’t get me wrong! It was awesome, and funny, and fun all at the same time. The replayability on it was kind of small to me though. I can understand why it might fit in the category of “temporary content.” BUT…… I’m also not sure why you’d ever take something away from your playerbase when it’s content that they loved, in a game where lack of content is a common complaint. Just sayin’.

2. You can now only gain so much karma a day.
3. Charr horns removed.
4. Auto Attack has been removed from the game.
5. Night has been removed from the game.
6. Removed dialog from Inquest NPC’s that called players skritt brained idiots which was deemed to be too offensive.
7. 2 new playable races, Harpy’s and Trolls have been added to the game.
8. Leveling system has been reworked again and will probably be reworked again later.
9. Removed trade post from the game.
10. Added a new Elite skill available to all professions called Summon Trahearne, awarded once you finish the storyline. Summons an invulnerable Trahearne that will periodically buff your character and inspire you with frequent audio quotes. Does not attack, cooldown 180. Lasts 180 seconds.

10 is pure gold. I’m laughing so hard I’m crying and the guys at work must think I’m mad XD

But the best/worst change ever would be having Dhuum randomly appear after a character has done something at random and kill said character. Any character killed in this manner has all progress reset to 0. For a simple 10000 gems you can have that character restored!

The hero was summoned and along the way Logan Thackery and Lord Farren join to help the two quaggan on their journey. Each step in the instanced LS will be mainly walking and a healthy amount of dialog. Add only a few (but epic) fight scenes in the entire Season 3 line.

kitten it, Bloomanoo, you really do draw disaster to you!

Dueling is now possible, thanks to the new Pocket Pugilist Dimensional Generator in the Gem Store. It costs 200 gems, works only once, and both participants must buy and use one.

I would suggest that challenging someone to a /duel carries with it some very distinctive animations, to make your intent clear. Maybe something like this.

Also, package with the PPDG a small selection of exclusive hairstyles for all races, to mark your character as someone that will want to challenge people to a one on one duel. Hairstyles can include such popular styles as the “9001” and the “Yu-Gi-Overload”.

delicate, brick-like subtlety.
