No, just NOOOOO. That would be like, what a phone app or something right? Because seriously, you can’t get any more dumbed down than this…

Well, I’m glad you asked! GW3 will take everything you loved about GW2 , but we found GW2 too confusing in general. We drastically decreased the amount of skills , and we made PvP even more simple by addig only one PvP mode with only one map , deathsmatch ,this way casuals could get into it easier.

Also I realized there are far more people who play far less than actual gamers , so GW3 wont be for gamers at all, it is as casual as possible. We made it a lot like popular games like facebook games. Also we made combat more simple , so now it will be possible to play GW3 on PS4, XBOX1 and even on Wii U!

GW3 will be pegi 3.

-All World Bosses now have been buffed to a Triple Trouble Wurm level of difficultly and now require a coordinated 150 Guild group in order to succeed. They all only spawn once a day and all the ones you want to fight spawn while you’re at work.

-If they fail, everyone on the map is killed, all the waypoints are contested and dragon minions loot all the gear of everyone in the map.

-Rewards mostly the same however we DID add one more green with a 0.000000000000000000000001% additional chance for an exotic

1 ) All permanent weapons and associated skills are removed from game. Characters must now find and use environmental weapons for every combat. Weapon breaking percentage remains intact.

I actually kind of like the idea of an Environment-Weapon-Only build. Actually sounds oddly fun.

FYI – I’m actually working on a challenge concept related to this, but the need for using environmental weapons are just one aspect of the challenge. I’m still ironing out a few details. Planning to write it up and maybe even post a youtube video when it’s ready.

giggle Oh I got some “good” ones.

- Trasmutation charges are now strictly a gem shop item. That’s right you can’t get any from map completion any more.

- MOUNTS, MOUNTS AND MORE MOUNTS! That’s right, even FLYING MOUNTS! SO everyone can get a perma obnoxious speed boost and just fly over Tyria and not bother exploring any more!

- Super Ultra mega level gating! If you thought the NPE was bad, wait until everything gets gated until level 80! woooo! That’s right, you must be level 80 to use the TP, the bank, change weapons, use skills, buy armor, do dungeons, do PS, do LS, etc etc. The only thing you can do at the start is use the Gem shop woooo!

- Every weapon now has only one attack skill and you only press 1 to use it! Why? Because it might be too hard for newer players to figure out that there are more keys on their keyboard! It hurts my brain just thinking about it!
- Raids! You’ve been whining for it and now it’s here! woooo raids! Coming out especially for you WoW fanboys! wooooo!
- The LS changes so that the ELeder dragons start picking off races. Yep, slowly every race is purged from the game except humans! HUMAN MASTER RACE GOOOO!

Well that was fun.

I dunno, pressing 1 might be too arduous for new players. It might be easier if autoattack initiated as soon as a creature was in range.

And since there’s already stars all over the place about where to go, you just click on it and your character walks there automatically! And, y’know, autoattacks everything on the way. No need to play at all, just watch the exciting new GW2 experience!

Many alts; handle it!

We have listened to the great many requests for new PvP modes and we are excited today to introduce the newest mode. We call it “Paper, Rock, Scissors”. Choose between three different buffs. One will have a 50% damage reduction to the other, one will have a 200% dmg multiplier to the other and two of the same buffs will be set at normal damage. There will be one point that can be captured at any point in gameplay, however the point changes location around the map every 60 seconds.

After introducing the newest PvP mode “Paper, Rock, Scissors” we have learned that the learning curve for the new mode was to high, we are now simplifying it by removing the capture points and the ability to damage the opponents have been removed. We will be shipping these changes in the next patch and renaming the game mode to “Duck, Duck, Goose”

I would release an epic manifesto of a game and promise way to much things and overhype the game and then I would release a game called Guild Wars 2 that has nothing to do with the previous one.

Also I would create an in game shop and release weekly new kitten only buyable with gems or diamonds or something like that.

And of corse I would make the game so super easy mode that ppl will beat as fast as they can the available “content” to lure them into the in game shop so they start buying diamonds or gems or whatever it will be called.

Thats how I would ruin things.

at first glance pvp in gw2 open world would seem absurd.. but at this point i don’t see why not.. i really do wonder what an open world pvp implementation would do.. we know from any mmo that an all out pvp server would be a total fail, not that arena net could afford to implement one at this point anyway.. but what if they could implement some conditional pvp in open world.. make it like silent hill that when the sirens sound pvp will corrupt an area lol.. there could be a way to earn immunity, just have to make it accessible to newbies without making it so boring that the pvp implementation becomes redundant.. i bet profession balance would get some fresh perspective away from the usual pvp cheesers.. sigh, yeah.. horrible idea

All equipment, no exceptions.

Which means if you like your legendary weapon, or ascended armor, or one-time only living story back item you’d better keep it safe in your bank.

I miss the loot corpse option from Morrowind. They need to bring that back.

If you get killed in PvP or WvW, anyone who did enough damage to get loot can take one item off your body, inventory or out of your bank. They see a list of all items on you, in your inventory and in your bank. If it’s an account bound item there is an option to change the binding to them. If no items, they can take gold from you. If no gold, they can remove experience from you. If enough experience is removed you will drop a level.

In celebration of the rapidly advancing peace treaty with their former oppressors, magnificent statues have been added to both Ebonhawke and Rurikton. Both have been carefully constructed from polished stone imported from the ruined Ascalon City. Each depicts a magnificent Charr warrior, dancing on a Searing Cauldron and raising his middle finger in salute to the awestruck onlooker. When approached, sometimes the Ebonhawke Charr can be heard playing his ‘flute’ for Gwen.

In an effort to bring you amazing new and challenging content, all Jumping Puzzles now periodically turn your screen upside down. This exciting new game mode comes with an additional challenge! Coins and dungeon tokens now have a chance to fall from your pockets as you jump. This release also introduces Magnetic Pockets in the Gemstore. For only 500 gems, this nifty gadget prevents your coin from falling for two whole weeks. Each Dungeon. Laurel Vendor, Trading Post, City Entrance and Reward Chest now includes an exciting and challenging new Jumping Puzzle.

In an ongoing effort to improve the realism of Player Versus Player combat, Thieves are now permanently invisible. A good Thief is never seen, right?

Here are my updates.

Gathering

  • Increased the amount of gathering nodes, especially the T6 ones
  • Gathering nodes of all levels can be found in every single map
  • There is only one material of gathering tool left per type (sickle, axe and pick)
  • There is no level requirement for those tools

Dungeons

  • Heroes were added to assist you in dungeons. Now you can finish the dungeon by yourself.
  • The amount of tokens required for armor and weapons is decreased, so that every run should give you at least one item.
  • Dungeon tokens can be used to buy precursors as well.

Loot and crafting

  • Fine materials now always is an extra drop and the drop rate has been increased. The same goes for rare materials.
  • Salvaging armor or weapons will return all materials that were required to make it.
  • The mystic forge recipes have been tweaked so that the change for an upgrade has been increased dramatically.
  • All time constraints have been removed from crafting ascended items.
  • All time constraints have been removed from charging crystals.
  • Soulbound and accountbound have been removed.

I’d add extra mechanics to each class.

Thief – new F2 skill – Despoil: Randomly chops off one of the targets limbs. If it’s a leg, the target is permanently crippled until death/respawn. The head causes permenant confusion ticks, and the target is dazed for 1 second every 3 seconds. If its a weapon wielding arm, that weapon is stolen by the thief permanently and is put in the thief’s inventory.

Mesmer – new finger puppet weapon – replaces skills 1-5 and utility 5-10 with clone summoning skills. While equipped the mesmer can have up to 10 clones summoned. Each clone, when summoned, is represented by a finger puppet on one of the mesmers fingers. The mesmer plays around with the finger puppets when equipped. To shatter, a skill can be pressed again, whereby the mesmer throws the corresponding finger puppet at the target, and the clone runs in and shatters.

Necromancer – new resource: Corpses – The necromancer now uses corpses instead of life force to power skills. Corpses can be harvested from the battlefield from fallen foes. A max of 10 corpses can be carried in the inventory at once, and each uses its own slot. During deathshroud the necromancer munches corpses to prolong the effect, with each corpse giving an extra 10 seconds of death shroud. Minion summoning skills require a corpse each.

Elementalist – new elite – Chainspell – can use all skills and utilities without cooldown or cast time for 20 seconds. Cooldown of 20 seconds (lol).

Guardian – new elite – Holy Spirit – the guardian transforms into a white moa wielding an olive branch. Skills are the same as when wielding a branch environmental weapon (thwack, smack etc).

Warrior – Extra two weapon swaps added – Functions like the elementalist attunements, but with four weapons instead of four elements. The weapon swaps have no cooldown and all skills are refreshed when swapped to that weapon (lol).

Engineer – new mechanic – Transhumanize – Replaces kits – Allows the engineer to replace limbs/body parts with mechanical ones. Shotgun arms, mechanical legs etc. Each upgrade gives a stat boost and uses a utility slot that functions like kits do now, but when equipped replaces your utility skills instead of your weapon skills.

New class – Mimic – has only 1 native skill, which occupies the number 1 slot, called Mime. It deals mild damage to the enemy, and steals one of the enemies skills at random and places it into the next free slot in your skill bar. The skill remains for 120 seconds before wearing off.

I’d also add spaceships, hover boards, unicorn mounts.

I would do the following:

-Replace the traditional expansion model with small meaningless updates and give it a cheesy name, something like: Living Story.
-Dumb down the levelling experience
-Level gate everything
-Add another tier of gear
-Remove the seperate balance between pvp/pve that worked so well in GW1
-Put all new armors in a cash shop
-Allow the gem-gold conversion rate to skyrocket to ridiculous amounts.

Oh wait…

Since activity variety is too confusing for new players, all hearts have been simplified to “Kill 42 of a nearby creature” in order to complete.

Since skills are too confusing for new players, all characters now have the exact same skills, only their particle effects are different in color (purplish pink for Mesmer, amber for Warrior, etc) to identify the different professions. Since it is the easiest profession to use, as evidenced by its preference among gold-farming bots, the new standard skill set for all professions is the Ranger skillset.

Since the variety of pets are confusing to new players, the only juvenile creature now able to be tamed is now the bear. In order to make the learning curve more accessible, a juvenile bear will be waiting in front of a character upon entering the game from the introductory instance. Upon taming, the bear will turn the appropriate color (blue for Guardians, green for Necromancers, etc) in order to keep the professions distinct.

In order to make the open world easier for new players to navigate as they level, only one zone of each level range will remain in the game; all others have been removed. It was difficult to decide which zones to keep, but we ultimately decided the Ascalonian portions of the map were the clearest with their relatively muted color palette.

Since the GW2 Wiki often contains out of date information, it can be needlessly misleading to new players, so we have shut it down, and have included new language in the Terms of Service agreement that prohibit the publication and distribution of any guides or reference sources referring to the game. Dulfy has been issued a Cease and Desist Order.

Left click to turn camera has been removed. In order not to confuse new players, the camera is permanently fixed to face in the direction the character is facing.

The option to rebind keys has been removed, as internal testing found the variety of choices on where to bind keys far too mindblowing for new players. For the same reason, mouse turning has been disabled so players don’t have to choose between it and being a keyboard turner.

Keybinds for skill use have also been disabled, as trying to keyboard turn and activate skills with keys is far too difficult for our internal testers. All skills on the skill bar must now be clicked with the mouse.

Internal tests found that most players find choosing a name to be the most agonizing part of creating a new character. To help streamline this process, characters are now assigned a random string of three to nineteen ascii characters for their name.

I would put up a giant statue of my character. All players will be forced to bow to it for 30mins every hour. However, you can skip this by paying $9.99 for a 2 hour bow free pass.

All of this stuff would actually make the game better, not worse.

It’s easy to ruin the game

We are going to add a new currency in the store only buyable with real money called superior gems, were also going to add permanent character Stat tomes that improve a Stat of your choice up to 200 per Stat, you can obtain each one as well.
These will be buyable only with the new currency and they work in wvw and pvp

We are also removing agony from fractils as we want everything to be available even to the inexperienced as long as they have the new currency to unlock them

Also the game is going free to play so every banned rager can come back for free! As well as free gold seller accounts to earn our money back from those players we are putting a lock on max gold, doable dailies, locked dungeons and locked regions all conveniently purchasable with our new currency

Also wvw will require a wvw time tome from the store that unlocks it for that weeks matchup

Pvp now has exclusive sigils from the new shop

For convenience one can now purchase fully leveled characters so they don’t have to go threw leveling

Btw if anyone is wondering 90% of this isn’t made up it happened in my previous mmo I dedicated a few thousand hours to

I’d remove the reveal debuff, and lengthen the time for thief stealth skills…

Then sit back and laugh evilly.

How to ruin this game, even more than it already is ruined? Make the Living Story mandatory in order to unlock PvE, WvW & SPvP.

What I would do:

- Levels have been removed.
- No trait or skill hunting
- All items have normalized stats.
- The only thing that changes as you approach “endgame” zones is that enemy AI changes to be more difficult and more complex.

I would love it. But I know it would fail miserably as an MMO.

While this would doom the economy, I’d be ecstatic for a good two weeks with these changes.
