How large did you make your Asura and why?
II was hoping it would be hard for other players to distinguish her animations and to tell her apart from her clones.
this is the reason i hate asuras in pvp.
As with any other race, for me it depends entirely on the character.
My female Asura warrior is on the shorter end as she is pretty young, but on the bulkier end because she is, uh, a klutz, and not much for precision work.
My male Asura (waiting for character slots to go on sale) will be a little taller than average and very slim.
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
I now make all mine smallest size as I often have the intent on using them in mostly pvp/wvw.
You know guys there is an option that turns all enemies into humans at pvp right?
My Asura is medium height cause wanted him normal size
Made the jedi Asura quite tall,
and made the Squirtle Asura tiny.
I made mine as small as I could. While I sometimes use him in PvP, it’s not often and that’s not why I did it. (Also, he wears bright yellow and blue, very hard to miss.)
He’ll tell you his name is “Yammi”, but everyone calls him “Yummy” or “Yummy Snack” (his in-game name). Why? Because so many animals have tried to take a bite out of him, he must be yummy. And he’s small, so he’s only a snack.
He’s a ranger, by the way. His stalker is named “Hungry Kitty”, so I can have him run through an area and people can see “Yummy Snack” being chased by a “Hungry Kitty”.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
I made my female Asura mesmer as short as possible and with the thinnest build.
This is exactly what I did with my Asura. I made her as tiny as possible. I get a kick out of some much death and destruction coming out of such a small body.

Only in Ranked and tournament rules custom arenas, apparently to ANet casual players aren’t worth a fair game.

I made Zolan Lazarus, my male Asura necromancer, medium height, I think. Maybe small. But since he has a tall pointy hat I’m not really trying to hide him.
Ranger: male, maximum size, head largest. Was going for a super exaggerated look.
Guardian: female, just slightly bigger than medium.
Working on: Engineer
Guardian. As tiny as I could make her becuz it amuses me to see her whap things with her hammer. She flies up in the air to do it.
ANet may give it to you.
I didn’t make him tall, he was born that way. He never did like being tall because it made him stick out but he always says at least he’s not too short for the ladies.
I wanted a tiny, dainty mesmer asura in a dress and so that’s what I made. I just liked the idea of a tiny little smarty pants in a girly dress kicking butt.
Forever known as “that slow guardian who can’t jump worth crap”.
I’ve made my asura shorter over time just because I like the compact look. Originally he was max height
I make PvP & WvW videos
A tiny, deadly duo.

As small as possible because he was a warrior and I wanted a comically oversized weapon… too bad weapons scale with size
As large as possible, because otherwise even the most beautiful skins would be totally lost on them.

i only play asuras have 1 off each class. I make everyone smallest size with thinnest frame.
My main is a mesmer TikTakTot.
Made mine slightly larger than min size – can’t remember exactly where on the scale it was, though?
I know she’s bigger than a lot of the other Asura I see around, though.
Also, chose the “normal” type build, rather than the thinner one.
I kind of think of her as a humanoid version of a small dog (like a Bichon Frise, or something) and didn’t want her to be the kind of extremely small, delicate dog you have to worry about accidentally treading on. xD

I play pretty much all Asura. I usually go with the smallest possible as well because I just like embracing the idea of “big things, small package”.
This is Fluttershy:

Tinkershy – Engineer

I’ve learned a few things reading the responses, thanks everyone.
Just a Flesh Wound: Sounds fun. Makes me want to make an Asura guardian or warrior or even elementalist with a lightening hammer. I’ve not made a new toon since the trait debacle and won’t until it has been fixed so it may be awhile.
I do find the Asura animations fun. Love their flip when they dodge. My mesmer dodges forward, backward and to each side all the time but I also have my necro dodge while he moving along escorting an NPC just ’cause I like the animation.
Aerlen: Love it. I really like their standing around pose when they cross their arms in front. It gives them “attitude”.
Love all the pictures.
Rev V: Jedi looks fierce and Squirtle looks like a handful.
Leo G: Yours looks formidable. K Ki’s head would probably not even reach his shoulder.
Endless Soul: Your deadly duo look like night and day or light and dark. A great looking pair.
MeanCoffeeBean: Fluttershy looks like fun. I do like the concept of “big thing, small package”.
Edit: I also like taking my Asura on jumping puzzles. They seem so much easier than when I take my Charr or Norn characters.

I make all my game characters as short as possible. Grass is always greener, I suppose.
I made my female Asura mesmer as short as possible and with the thinnest build. Also gave her a short name, K Ki, and dressed her to blend into the background all with the intention to use her in PvP and/or WvW. I was hoping it would be hard for other players to distinguish her animations and to tell her apart from her clones.
That reasoning was completely off. Asura have overexaggerated animations. If you want to be mean as a mesmer, make him as big as possible. The clones will just visually block out everything.
About my Asuras… Oh boy…
Peacemaker Napp (Warrior): Max size
Pathologist Noma (Necro): Slightly below max size
Technician Teysa (Engineer): Average size
Field Surgeon Kazzi (Guardian): Max size
planned:
Yet unnamed Mesmer: Minimum size
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.
I have three. My Thief and my Guard are as tiny as possible, because they look cute. My Engineer is as large as possible, because why not?
you spend complaining about it on the forums, you’d be
