I currently have 4 level 80 characters (elementalist, guardian, warrior, thief) and I am still leveling my mesmer, necromancer, enginer and ranger.

I have one character and it is a level eighty warrior. I just can’t play an alternative character, and I always delete them. However, I have different types of weapons, armors, and ascended trinkets on it like Berserker, PVT, and more.

I play since pre-release, pretty much everyday, and yet I have only one character!

Currently 13 if I remember correctly (with 21 characters and 2 empty slots).

I have had 8×80′s for ages now, 1 of each class.

Been playing on and off since day 1.

However, I long since got to a stage where there’s absolutely nothing in game for me to do/want to do and there’s no rewards for me to aim for.

Its a bit sad really as I like GW2 a lot but I am better off largely playing other games until a ‘proper’ expansion comes along.

I also have 13 lvl 80 characters.

Ten of them are on this account and represent every species and both genders equally. This account has no lower level characters at this time. Double representation in professions for guardian and elementalist, all other professions just one.

Three are on my NA account. A warrior asura female, a norn thief girl and a male human mesmer. Growing up a ranger, necromancer, engineer and by accident a second warrior.

I have 14 characters, 13 of which are lvl 80. Multiple races and professions because I’d rather quickly change out a character than run back to town, reset traits, respec, and carry around 5 different sets of equipment on a single character.

Guardian seems to be next, currently at 58 of which about 20 levels were gotten in LA recently.
I don’t really like playing a guardian but he’s always been the highest level character on that account and picked up when needed for (being thrown at) something. Reason he exists at all is the sylvari cultural T3 helm. <3

Rest of the family for scale: 39 39 38 30 30 27 27 27 27 23 23 21 21 21 21 13 11 and many at level 2. 47 character slots in total over three accounts.

I have a friend who has 12-14ish lvl80s! XD I can’t even fathom it because I’m such a slow leveler, but I really enjoy the process (when I don’t feel rushed).

DR is character bound, so having 4 guardians increases my gold intake significantly (not 4x).

You can never have enough guardians. Though I only have enough time to play all of them during weekends.

23 level 80s as of yesterday.

Still waiting on account bound WvW exp.

Multiples of all professions, some with different specs, and corresponding different gear.

Different races, trying to compensate for camera difference.

Have a few more (lol – see sig) characters in their 60s and 70’s I ought to get to 80 just for completeness. Told myself I would stop at 50 alts, then rolled one more. Hope to get at least 25 to 80 then stop. Depends on whether ANet adds new content and how bored I am.

Won’t list them, would look like a spreadsheet.

Yes, I have a life. And I know there are others out here that have just as many alts. There was a poster a while back who said his guildmate had 20 alts all with complete world explore credit.

Without in-game mechanics that support the ability to swap, it is actually much easier (and less error-prone) to do it with a new alt.

I have 5, and I love them all dearly. I’m waiting for a character slot sale to get my last, a human thief.

I would think the majority of the more than casual players have at least all 8 profs maxed. only 16 chars here, only 10 maxed tho. I like to have some low to mid level for obvious reasons.
