I hate CoF1, and what it has done to GW2
I do have the legendary Rifle (Predator) multiple tier3 amors, 1000+ gold, multiple precursor on my characters and I finished CoF one time for dungon master.
CoF indeed ruins this game, creates class racism. But it is the gamer base who creates his own burden! You don’t need CoF, u don’t need class racism, u don’t need gear check. Period.
And when anet has a kneejerk reaction and nerfs CoF1, all the players will find the next easiest/fastest dungeon, and run it.
See: Ascalonian Catacombs.
I kind if agree that CoF1 farming is doing some damage, but there are better places to farm and make money even solo. The only drawback to these other farming spots is that DR hits hard after 1 hour+ while you could run CoF all day and be making consistent money.
CoF only creates class racism within CoF, it is a simple fact that the Warrior has the means to out DPS all other classes and if you are good enough to not get hit as a full glass cannon you will accomplish your task the fastest.
I expected a nerf to cof p1 months ago, If you want something you farm cof p1 for the silver.
I wonder if that path gets deleted/changed by how much the current prices will drop. pure cash drops are pretty rare in gw2 so when there is less money to be made ingame the prices will drop. Most people will go back to boss farming and ta or hotw. but at least it gives you some options.
If it wasn’t COF path 1 it would have been something else.
The problem is that raw DPS is king in PvE. The classes that have the best DPS will always be considered superior.
In general, enemies in PvE charge right at you, don’t dodge, they have high health pools, and average toughness. This is the ideal set up for a Zerker Warrior.
Short of giving the enemies some AI, I think ANet could help fix this by, for example, including some enemies with crazy high toughness so the condition damage plays a role.

I wonder when Anet will realize all they did was trade trinity and 3 way role balancing for chaos and trying balance 8 classes that all the do the same kitten thing. No wonder they are having trouble balancing the game.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
