I’ve spent a good amount of money on gems already,

And I’m willing to spend A LOT MORE for this game,

So I’m thinking of serious donation that will only be aimed @ cape development.

How much would I need for this to launch?

1 million dollars.

Yea i want capes also. The current backpacks if u try them out in the closet thing…they pretty much all suck. Each has more negative aspects then positive.

Hmm, I smell a profit-making opportunity.

See, ANet could run a gem promotion with an event much like the Evon/Kiel election. (Evon.. Kiel.. Even Keel? no, that can’t be right.) Except it’ll be capes vs no capes. But to be fair, only 1 gem-vote per day~

Just out of curiosity, why do you want capes? Are you referring to guild capes, thus would have your guild tag emblazoned on it? You don’t really need capes to identify your guild tag appears next to each guildies name.
Or are you just referring to a cape as a backpiece? If so, do you want to be able to input your own design or just a generic cape?
I vaguely remember in GW1 guilds could choose a symbol that represented their guild.



I’d also like to see capes return, but I doubt it’ll happen.

Cape technology is difficult and would put intolerable strain on <Insert plausible-sounding thing here>.

Surprised they haven’t added this to our back slot yet. Capes can be cool but I’m not a huge fan of them. I prefer those angel / godlike wings.

I would pay money, for Anet to take your money, then just add a label for a cape on the map somewhere.

I honestly prefer wings instead. A pair of wings I would love to buy is the wings that were originally a part of the Raiment of the Lich outfit from GW1. I understand why they didn’t have it as part of the outfit in GW2 because we have back pieces, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t sell it as a separate back piece, those wings are pretty kitten.
