but I’m not looking forward to more of the Brand. I’m clearing the Ascalon region on for the fifth time, and I’ve grown to hate the region because of the Brand. It’s not aesthetically pleasing – it’s not supposed to be – and it varies little from the north end to the south. According to the world map, it extends a good length into the Crystal Desert and ends in a large crater-looking area.

That’s a whole lot more of something I’m already tired of. It’s not that the Brand is uninteresting; it’s that it’s become uninteresting to me. Hopefully they can find a way to make it more interesting going forward, but I don’t see how. Other than that, I’m ready to do some desert exploration and hope Kralk is the next Elder Dragon on the hit list.

I haven’t run into the problem, because I’ve done less of the charr zones than any other zone…not sure why. But I get being bored of the monotony of an area. Same encouters, same sameness.

The areas that tend to bore me are the Shiverpeake mountains. Man I’ve done those a lot.

I loved the Crystal Desert in GW1. One of my very favorite places, there was just something about the crystal-clarity there, I guess. I hope it’s one of the first new places opened for us, and it is more like the Crystal Desert in GW1 than the Brand, as the Brand is just too much purple/purple everywhere for me.

I hope that giant broken statue makes an appearance.

I find the brand a really intriguing enemy/zone. More so then Orr was. But yes, hopefully they will diversify the area the closer we get to the desert. And big mobs morphing out of the landscape like in the book

The large crater looking area is a large crater btw (not sure if you know the story so wont outright spoil it)

I’d guess they’re saving that for the Kralk expansion.

Same as Destroyers I’d wager. Makes sense tbh

I much prefer Brand over Risen. I’m just glad Zhaitan cops it early in the piece so we don’t have to deal with more of it coming. On that note, I sort of hope that when the mystery sea dragon comes Orr gets changed from constantly fighting Risen to just driving off remnants so we can concentrate on what will be new.

Crystal Desert is intriguing. I really can’t wait to see what maps they open up next.

I’d rather play in the Brand than in Orr – The purple and crystals are more visually appealing, and branded enemies are much more fun than risen.

Only thing better about Orr is the impressive architecture and landscape structures.

I’m ready for anywhere that takes us far away from Kryta in theme. I’m bored of it right now. Crystal Desert – Elona, Cantha, whichever just send us somewhere else please lol.
