LoL Skritt are just poor little rats in most other games. But I think they are sort of cool.

I hate it when I have to kill skritt… but I hate getting killed by them more, so, my hand is forced. To grip my flamethrower. And to squeeze the trigger.

OMG, that’s great and awful at the same time.

Weak individually but collectively they rival the Asura with their innovations. I personally hate them. They’re behavior is eerily similar to an Edge Of The Mists zerg… Catch one alone and it’s defenseless and will run for it’s life, but as soon as it gets back to the herd it turns on you without a second thought. I don’t give a skritt, if it attacks me it dies.

There are a few tribes of friendly skritt. But yes, I also feel sad attacking those poor little guys.

I mean, we’re the big mean monsters (asura are just mean monsters, not big) that march into their territory with strange shiny weapons.

Yeah, this game has alot of genocidal hearts/other content that start to detract from being a hero and more a war-crazed murderer. I get murdering this entire tribe may help this other party, but its a little too widespread and detached for my tastes.

I wear it too but then again as Anet would say who gives a Skritt?

I blame death animations. Instead of skritt dying, when their hp reaches zero, they could instead retreat and dive underground or something. Not everything needs to die when its hp reaches zero.

Killing skritt is a waste of test subjects unless the death itself is educational and serves a purpose.

Unfortunately, sloppy work usually means a messy clean-up afterward.

I get really uneasy at a lot of events/hearts that involve the ‘lesser’ sapient species like the skritt/jotun/hylek, who mostly seem to be aggressive due to the main races encroaching on their territories and/or their cultures – I’m thinking for example how there’s one event where you have to kill a bunch of jotun who’re just trying to recover artefacts that belong to them and that were, uh, ‘recovered’ by the Priory.

Yes, skritt are nice but I have met them first in Queensdale than Metrica Province so know them as mobs or enemies who’s doing some bad things to humans. And it was a big surpeise when i have met a friendly trible. So this skritt has some intelligence and i’m glad to help them but not the first ones.

Don’t feel sorry for the Skritt that you have to kill. They are the ‘bandits’ of the Skritt race.

Also, you can create a Skritt tonic by Mystic Forge using the following Ingredients:

2 x [Mystery Tonic] | 1 x [Slab of Red Meat] | 1 x [Tiny Claw]

You get 2 x [Skritt Tonic] then, each lasts 15 minutes, and you can use certain purchasable environmental weapons if you want to go out and fight with them. I do this sometimes myself.

I don’t wish to have Skritt a playable race, but I would like the tonic to last longer.

I like the skritt, in some ways much cuter than quaggan is… imo…. My first character which is also my main chose to study the skritt when faced with the choice to do so.
They amuse me everytime I meet them and prefer when they are friendly, because it does not seem entirely right to kill them… then again those I kill attack me first…

Don’t want them playable though.

As one little female cried, ‘More come, yes’ , weak with courage and fear, and another died with a plaintive ’No~ ’ , I was overcome with doubts and questions.

Whether it be wailing in death or calling for help, their voices, are infused with a confronting combination of fear, courage and pathos that deserves more admiration and fellowship than contempt and death.

In some ways, it feels like beating up the little guy with glasses in the playground who stood up to the bullies.

It isn’t right.

Here and now, I eschew map completion, wear my ‘Honorary Skritt with pride’ and devote myself to the defense of the little ones.

This is all fine and dandy, until they have the numbers and then you only hear “KIIILLL IIIIITTTT!!” in such a maniacal voice that it makes one shudder. Skritt are like goblins, all nice and fun until they get the upper hand, then they reveal their viciousness and turn on you without a shade of pity or restraint.

Do not be fooled by them.
