I would gladly pay for an entire expansion if all it added to the game was dyeable channels for weapons and backpacks, and allowed us to apply glow/particle effects to armor/weapons and back pieces. Also visible jewelry, trinkets, and amulets on characters would be amazing.

what kinds of updates/content do you want to see?

Visible jewellery on characters wouldn’t be feasible/possible unless they went through every single chest piece in the entire game to make sure it wouldn’t clip with an amulet for example or went to such lengths as to make each amulet have a unique ‘placement’ around chest pieces… even then I’d imagine shoulder skins to contribute to further clipping and believe me if they can’t fix/don’t care about Charr tail clipping etc then I highly doubt they would bother implementing such a massive hassle/overhaul such as jewellery aesthetics.

I do agree with the wish for being able to dye backpacks however, it’s something a lot of players have been asking for. Not sure if it’s possible and if it is – expect another ‘monumental overhaul’ technical limitation excuse from ANet for whatever ungodly reason.

wow, glitter for 50$ sounds like a lot, but I dont care about customization, so might be worth it for some.
My main wish is that A-Net stops this random charade of not knowing what to be. Aiming for something, but showing and telling something else. At the very least focus more on actual skills, or fun quests rather than actual repetitive grind. That is the reason I bought Gw2. (btw, my idea of skill is something like killing lupi solo with thief or warrior, not actual lupi, but I would 10 times rather learn a new lupi that is based on 5 man killing him, than to repeat the same boring act 100 times to get the customized item) though If I dont have to talk in dreams, but something that is achievable:

-real Guild vs Guild, support behind it

-50-50 on meta maps and exploration maps

-pvp open, so I can challenge anyone in the world……and in the actual Spvp button-.2v2 maps, 3v3 maps, 5v5 maps…..

-More stuff in the actual guild hall, so you want to go there and stay there so it doesnt feel like “what are the 3 things you want to take with you to a remote island” basically….Guild Quest that require 10+ people….and for the love of god, not conquest, but just like “move deeper into the guild hall” where there is a big dragon or monster at the end and chance of getting xx rare guild loot———and more living, more story telling…..even “npc actors” that are there to represent etc….

I think pvp needs team deathmatch or arenas (sometimes its more fun to kill the enemy team than care about a god kitten point and miss the fight that is happening somewhere else). You know 2v2s 1v1s and 3v3s stuff like that. They wont support gvg they have said so but they can at least make the gh isntance have the balance of wvw so wvwers can organise their gvgs there.

Something that would really, realllly interest me is if something was done to make dungeons soloable! This could be through scaling dungeons down for smaller/solo groups, or a hero/henchman system like GW1 had!

In GW1, 95% of what I did was solo/with henchman/hero only teams. In GW2 I like joining groups in WvW or in open world PvE(meta events, etc) But I honestly prefer dungeons solo, at my own pace, when I want without having to spend long getting a group together! I would realllly love it if I could do more dungeons without groups!

I’m not sure why they never made some sort of option in GW2. I’m sure there are quite a few people who would love it if we had heroes/henchman again or if the dungeons at least scaled down for a solo player/smaller group.

Edit: Oh and if they actually were gonna add new dungeons along with the scaling or heroes… that’d be great

As a WvW player, I wouldn’t. Unless they plan on adding something major related to wvw in the next expansion there’s zero reason for me to waste another $50 on another expansion. Unless they make the new elite specs so blatantly overpowered that I have no choice but to buy it just to stay competitive. In that case though, its just a complete rip off for WvW players as we’re essentially paying $50 for a traitline.

So I hope they’ll just let us buy the elite specs separate from the expansion. I wouldn’t mind dropping $5-10 to unlock them all just for WvW as i have zero interest in any of the pve stuff, and most likely the expansion will be 100% pve related with only the elite specs being relevant to pvp or wvw.

I would be okay if at least we could choose the skin. “What is that good for?”, you might ask. Well, first of all it would be “pingable” in text chat, but more importantly, I could enjoy the look of the item personally and, most importantly, distriguish quicker between different sets when I change builds.^

^) With the LWS3 trinkets, I am having trouble at times and it takes longer to equip the right ones, even though I usually know where in my equipment to look for which set, but still, I always double-check to avoid any mistake.

@OP: YES, dyeable weapons! <3 It would be sooooo cool, especially with color effects on legendaries like Nevermore (I’d prefer forest green instead of sky blue for my Druid).

I don’t really know off the top of my head. $50 is a lot of money. And I’m still sore about the money I shelled out for HoT; I took a leap of faith with Anet that they would deliver and got burned. I don’t hate HoT, but it’s not really worth $50 to me.

I would have to wait and see in post-release gameplay what the expansion offers and go from there.

All I know is, the best way to sum up HoT for me was that it was an assortment of deliciously decorated cupcakes and cookies with sand in the middle. I don’t want to go through that again. I’m going to wait till I find out what’s inside.

Or words to that effect.

an outfit that looks like a legendary armor set in the deluxe edition cuz i will never get legendary armor. better 6 separate armor skins
and maps like HoT maps, jungles is best. no maps like lake… east of divinitys reach. if i get that map i quit game. ugly and empty. i will see they put lots of work in map design like the hot maps. or bloodstone fen.
and maybe nice weapon skins in the pack

Open pvp would kill the game. (google all the thread about it). As for more bling? No thanks. Actually add more open world similar to what the game had and was when it was 1st released.

World PvP would be fine if they make a map specifically for it. We just don’t want to see it in the classic maps, because the game’s PvE is designed to make players naturally team up instead of fearing each other. If they made it in the open-world it would have to be opt-in like in WoW, and in WoW nobody opts in for world PvP because that’s just asking to get ganked.

But you could have a corner of the WvW map that mimics open-world PvP in other games. Maybe you can gather exclusive tradeable crafting materials that are used to craft new armor sets and consumable. That may be enough to convince the more adventurous players to go there, gather some mats and sell it on the trade post to make gold. Then do something to reward players for actually doing PvP in the zone, maybe you get x% of your opponent’s gathered materials if you defeat them, or a buff that increases how much you gather.

That would involve going back to every weapon currently in the game, then: redesigning the colouring on each of them; programming how and where each would dye; designing how each would be affected by the glow/particles currently in the game; and each new effect would have to be reapplied to every weapon each time. And of course they’d have to rebuild the code to work with all of this new information; figure out how to efficiently pass it on over limited bandwidth; and optimize it all for low-spec computers like mine.

I’m going to buy it no matter what because new maps are my favorite thing, and I’m interested in where the story goes from here.

But, given that we’re apparently going to the Crystal Desert, I’d kill for the return of the Hall of Heroes and Tomb of the Primeval Kings. (Yes, I know HoH was totally toxic and I don’t care, it was still glorious.)

I’d also like to be able to have the raid maps explorable in the open world, with different activities there than raiding. It seems a shame to have all that design and lore and employee hours go into something that so many people don’t get to see. (I’m not suggesting rewards be the same.)

Want Open World PvP? Go Play Perfect World International and kill white named players and get killed as a red named player and have your gear be dropped when a PvPer floors you in battle.

Atleast they give those whos a Heavy PvPer a chance to loot a players stuff they dropped from being defeated. I play PWI but I only play on a PvE Server and keep my PvP flag off all the time beacuse at lvl 50? Your forced into a PvP flag and no longer protected and it cannot be switched off.

If I get ganked in every corner in GW2 if Open PvP was in it, I am not coming back to Guild Wars 2 ever again unless a PvE Server with optional PvP was added to not get flagged.

Sonic’s the name, speeds my game!

I heard the price is going to range around $30 dollars this time but that is just the rumor I heard.

I’d gladly pay $50 regardless.

In fact, considering I don’t really watch TV shows, or much of anything else online, and the fact that I play GW2 for hours nightly, I consider $50 for two years worth of entertainment very cheap.

But yeah, I’d like to see more dye channels too.
