What special merchant? Any link? Seem to have missed it.

Bates in the last LS patch states there will be an npc merchant that will sell items in exchange for old lS drops such as blade shards.
Trading
Rumors tell of a merchant interested in items from major events in Tyria’s recent history, including Blade Shards. Players are encouraged to hold on to these items if they are interested in trading with her when she appears.

Never mind Blade Shards, Cipher Parts (although not many as I used most), Kiel Representation Buttons, I still have all those random quest items such as the crystals from the Emissary Vorpp achievements.
Lol, I still have my Soggy Piece of Whatever It Was from the first Karka event. Maybe I should audition for Hoarders! Haha.
If they weren’t planning on releasing it with the patch or soon after, they shouldn’t have it listed in the patch notes.

If they hadn’t listed it in the patch notes, there would be an uproar (there already was because it wasn’t listed earlier) about it not being announced in the official patch notes.
Perhaps, the merchant is already out there somewhere, and no one has stumbled across her/him yet. Food for thought! =)

Well guys, there is a wallet we must fill with money before we get the NPC. Go and buy some inventory/bank slots and we won’t have to wait much longer.
