Did you change the language? That will cause a lot of files to download.

I FOUND THE ISSUE!

I renamed gw2.dat to gw2.old to see if it was the problem with the connection errors earlier – but I forgot to change it back.

hoops.

Keep in mind that today’s patch is not only introducing the things mentioned in the patch notes, but it contains a plethora of new stuff to test with the upcoming beta weekend and Heart of Thorns as a whole, which is one reason it is a big one.

thats ok.. as long as someone did, then i kno there are still good people in the world of gw2

For those wondering, my patch size was 396MB.

Just mentioning it for those that come to the thread looking to find how big they can expect the patch to be in megabytes.
