So far so good. Just fix some of the bugs with the dailys, and we are good. The daily dodger is an annoying daily though.

Daily dodger is easy, just search for a mob that has AoE over time like an earth elemental and start dodging through it’s AoE.

Does this count simply if you dodge? Or do you actually have to coordinate it perfectly because it only counts if your dodges result in directly avoiding damage?

Actually I had more problems with the healer one, since everyone kept reviving anything that’s supposed to have a pulse… For the Dodging one, I would find a Veteran I knew would be OK to dance with, and stood there practicing.

Of course, I’d be 80% done and a zone crash would roll me back to 20%. :-p That was far more annoying, but I finally got through it. Too bad that wasn’t happening when I poked my head into WvW, would have been nice to rollback 6 silver in repairs…

ooo nice idea, thank you! I’m an Elementalist. I don’t generally like to play dodging games with things that hurt. Though…come to think of it, I bet I’d get it in one Claw of Jormag event? The pre-events with the elementals and crystals?

Not sure I like the change to rare loot. You get a chest? Im so used to spamming my loot key in large packs of dead mobs. Now I have to look at the ground in the middle of all the particle effects and explosions and players and dead bodies, to see if i have a chest?

Please change this.

Just use drakes. You can usually get two dodges in when they use fire breath.

Just hope next time they warn about everything, EVERYTHING that is going to be included, since I lost over 40g because charged lodestones dropped in prices. And would be great if the monthly was reset, because I already did mine, and I want laurels so bad!!

I’m playing the game. Maybe I’m under attack in wvw/pvp. Maybe I’ve killed the 5x pve mobs and didn’t notice the sparkles. Maybe I’m in a dungeon and my party is moving on and I don’t have time to look around.

This game claims to take the grind out of grinding. I think for 99% of things it does. But the “stop and pick up loot” is really silly. Auto pick-up loot. If I find the next higher class of loot that’s not stupidly lower value than my lowest item swap it out. If I grab a rare-or-higher then swap out the lowest-cost/lowest-level item.

Why do I have to pick up loot? I have 3 chars to 80 and multiple lower alts that NEVER ONCE have not tried to pick up any loot that dropped. Don’t make me pick up loot. Make me have to decide what to sell but don’t make me miss a higher cost/rank item because something made me miss hitting ‘F’.

In PvE, if a player is awarded loot by killing a creature and the loot is of uncommon rarity or higher, a chest will appear that contains the loot that would previously have been on the corpse. If the rarity of the loot on the creature is lower than uncommon, the loot will remain on the creature’s corpse.

I was under the impression that taking away dungeon waypoints would be mitigated by making dungeons easier. I was looking forward to this especially for TA and SE, the two NOBODY every wants to do. The patch notes don’t look like much was done to improve them. A waypoint is needed in the F/F path that didn’t get added.

Another month I guess before I can actually move past SE…

First time post to these forums… Prior to this, nothing upset me enough to go to the trouble of logging into the forums.

However, these changes to the Dailys have changed this.

Seems to me, the DODGE count is a very poor choice. I mostly play cloth armor toons (plus Ranger) and my playstyle includes, as my Top Priority, NOT to get into so much trouble as to have to dodge OUT of an attack. My dodges are used up and the mob is generally dead (or I sprint away for distance), before it gets that close to me.

I think many players of these classes, would agree with me.

Only solution I can see is to Farm the Dailys in the noobie zones (for greater surviveability) and clutter up the game play for true Noobies who need the noobie zone for their game to advance.

If this is what Anet intends, then it seems like the noobies are going to suffer/die from greatly overscaled events that are skewed by dozens of lvl 20 to 80 players roaming the zone to get in their Dodge Requirement for the dailys.

I don’t want to dust off my tank just to do Dodges in Dailys.

I also disagree with the choice using combos as a daily but i’ll hold comment until it is fixed.

Just doing some pent/shelt farming post patch and notice that the culling is far worse than I’ve seen it here in recent memory. Clearly any improvements are limited to WvW or some limited aspect of the game. Odd, that it would get worse with improvements though.

The increased moldy bag drops in Orr and just general Orr changes have made it quite more enjoyable. Only issue I’d say I have is the Grenth boss fight seems very broken. The Melandru one took quite a while, like 4 or 5 phases of killing acolytes. Not sure if they were intended to heal him so much, but it is doable. And was quite fun actually.

As far as dailies go, I do think the ones that require like resurrecting people needs to be looked at a bit more. Maybe consider NPCs into the equation. It’s pretty rare to find a lot of people to res unless doing a boss fight, then there are plenty. But if everyone has the same daily, people are going to probably beeline for ressing people before anything else. Just something to consider.

As far as dodging and combos, I am kind of middle of the road. It’s hard to get credit for combo kills for some people. Some classes obviously have it a lot easier. Dodging is a little odd, it just doesn’t seem to credit as often as it should or something. And obviously ranged classes don’t have to use dodge as much. I had to go out of my way on Ele to find some stuff to dodge. Something to look at as well.

I actually kinda like the mini chest for unique loot. It can be quite easy to miss the sparkles in some bigger events. So the box makes it stand out a bit more once the bodies clear a bit. And the jewelry boxes are nice touch and a welcome addition.

And I think the prices for Laurel items are pretty good. I will appreciate if they stay at that price (as in don’t make them more expensive). 4 months I can deal with to get my ascended items .

This was made because the fact that corpses will dry up with loot on them after a while. It was in beta for underwater areas at one time. Why they removed it to begin with made a big problem for slower machines (like mine) that can’t see the corpses for a few minutes (usually well after they rot away) to begin with. If you kill 20+ centaurs at a time in Harathi like me, you’d wish you could get your loot in time.

Think of all possible benefits for something before saying anything please.

Anet is making lots of new ways to help our slower processors cope.

No need – the Jan monthly will not give laurels if you finish it after the patch. The Feb monthly will be the first montly to award laurels.

I like that new attribute UI shows all the attributes but could we see how our gear bonuses are affecting the numbers like the mouse-over used to do on the old UI?

Also I think they would be better organized if they were in separate boxes for each category, such as:
___________________
Primary
Power Precision
Toughness Vitiality
___________________
Derived
Attack Critical
Armor Health
___________________
Secondary
Boon Crit Dam
Cond Dam Cond Duration
Healing Power Agony Res
___________________

And show the names please. Is it really necessary to force the playerbase to memorize those little icons? It’s bad enough we have to do it for boons and conditions.

FYI That’s already working on npcs. I did all the healer steps on npc corpses since they were added to the game… only need to find a nice pile of them and you are set.
