First i noticed they had 2 herald in their raid (dunno if in pve that class does the same bugged dmg as in wvw) and the guy talking in the video (also one of the 2 herald) mostly spammed only the autoattack….dunno
Second why then make people to believe ascended gear is needed in raids as cleary stated by Crystal in that tweet?!Shes the game designer (GW2 Raids),whats the reason to?
How new are you to Gw2 that one of Anet’s biggest problems is communication? Devs like to contradict it each time to time. Or have a second post to clarify what the first said.

And which she later clarified to mean highly skilled players will be able to do it in exotic other players will need the gear cushion provided by the stats. She also said the first wing was definitely doable in exotics and you’d probably want ascended. The problem is the community continually only looking at part of the information given and repeating just one part.
idk what i expected when i came into this thread but i certainly didnt expect an op that thought hearts are the intended best levelling method and for him to attempt to squelch discussion to the contrary. oh well.

I’d just give up the argument and go play WoW. WoW is a better value-per-dollar game, hands down. Arguing this with GW2 fans, many of which are F2P leeches, is futile.
And if WoW isn’t enough, there is Hearthstone, HoTS, Diablo 3, and (soon) Overwatch. For what what you’d spend in GW2 to build a legendary (gem-to-cash conversion), you’d own all of the above games, AND have quite a bit of the F2P stuff unlocked.
Simply put: If you don’t mind spending money on a game, GW2 is not for you. Its like comparing Walmart with Macy’s. You either think smart and pay for value, or buy over-priced yuppy crap that you’ll end up putting on a garage sale in a year.
Ah yes, best value per dollar, with a value that decreases exponentially every month you pay your sub.
There’s a reason why every expansion that has come out recently has ultimately resulted in lost subscriptions. They get the die-hard fans that crave the WoW nostalgia to come back, pay the box price, renew their sub (and hope they forget to cancel it), play 30 days or so, remember that the game just isn’t how it was back in its prime, and then quit again.
WoW isn’t the same as when it was good. We all know it. Those holding on do so because they feel they are too deeply invested in the game to let it go. That’s their player base now, and Blizzard knows how to capitalize on it. It doesn’t matter how many times people are disappointed with an expansion and say “man, this one kind of sucked, this game isn’t what it used to be”, they will buy the next expansion and do it all over again, logging in merely for the social aspect and to justify the fact they are still paying money every month.

Lol the reason guild wars 2 is designed the way it is is so that you don’t have to grind much.
Play the game how you want
Guild wars 2 is one of the only games that lets full pvp people get their pvp levels up while doing it; not only that but guild wars 2 is funded by all other ncsoft subscriptions.
If they made the game like wow I would leave and never return. World of Warcraft is just a game from blizzard designed to suck your money up. There’s some story but it’s all just fighting.

The first thing wrong with the WoW is that it exists. As a fan of the Warcraft RTS series, already sensed what was crap ahead, when in version 3 they have reduced the maximum number of units in a army to 90, taking the focus of large armies to “heroes”. Then months later I saw the announcement that Blizzard would turn Warcraft in an MMO. For me it was a funeral.
Anet has to have something to learn from this, is never take the focus of a brand, and please no more mini-games “jumpings” Donkey Kong stuff in GW2. Exploration/fight/MMo game has nothing to do with Marios Bros playstyle.
