Name 1 thing you hate about gw2 and one you like.

Hate skyhammer, love the uninstall process speed.

Hate – Not a proper sequel
Like – Graphics

Note: this is choosing just one out of hundreds of reasons for both liking and hating this game.
Hate – Diminishing Returns
Like – Depositing collectables from anywhere

Hate: The Plot (LS, and PS past level 50).
Love: The scenery.

hate: look at 1thousand posts before yours
like: everything until fractals.

Hate: Dull grey text for emotes/lack of personal customization of colors of all channels.

Like: …. so many …. let’s go with core design aimed at cooperative play.

Hate: The game, it is simply not very fun.
Like: Some of the scenery. Just wish there was more variance, like forests and deserts.
(don’t “hate” the game, just dislike how un-fun the game really is.)

Hate: The “Korean grinding MMO” turn the game took when ANet went full panic.
Like: Some of the sceneries are among the best in the whole MMO history

Hate: the game

Hate: grinding aspects, farming, “gold = everything”
Like: lore, races, classes, some great AI

Hate: how they lied about the dynamic event system and pretty much everything before launch and the game being really boring and not how I thought it would be.

Like: No monthly fee and better mmo’s releasing this year.

Hate: Living Story
Love: My characters, my only reason to keep playing.

Enjoy: Exploration, Weapons being more than just a stat stick, the lack of feeling that I need to log in.

I wouldn’t say there’s anything I hate, so much as a list of things I’d like to see improved.

I think this should be hate/love or dislike/like, actually. The term disparity is prejudicial.

Hate – stealth
Like – the way the game plays

Like: Pretty much all of it.
Hate: That there’s not more to like…

Like: it’s not a subscription based game

Dislike: anet forgot to include all the things i liked about Guild Wars.

Hate: Balancing Team
Like: Art Team

Like: Overall simplistic, skill-based gameplay in a vibrant and beautiful world.

dislike: Horizontal progression requiring massive amounts of horizontal grinding, time sensitive content and the feel of being shackled to a player dominated, investment focused TP so I’m stuck gold farming for top end PvE content.

Hate: the forums rule balancing too much (class farms etc..)
Like: complete freedom of movement and chose

Hate: How grindy the game is. Good quests are far more interesting than hearts.
Love: Pvp

Like: Combat.
Dislike: Lack of true build diversity like there was in GW1.

dislike: forum privileges still active even though players don’t play anymore

like: the game

Hate: RNG, cus that’s what makes you play the game without a purpose
Like: The leveling is fast/fun, worse than gw1 though, too many levels in gw2

Hate: game mechanics
Like: Artwork/design

Hate: ascended gear and how it was implemented
Love: the best combat system in any MMORPG, especially the lack of trinity.

Also consider that “hate” is such a strong word, and it baffles me all the time how mindlessly people throw it around without actually understanding its true meaning. That being said…

Dislike: Well, maybe that I won’t get any ascended weapons or armor anytime soon. Or Eternal Battlegrounds. Or the new TA-path. But then again, such things are completely ignorable, and you may never know… maybe someday my feelings towards those change. And for the weapons and armor, I also can’t know the future. Maybe I somehow will be able to get those earlier than I thought.
Oh, and then of course some bugs (especially those that lead to me missing things, like NPC’s skipping parts of their dialogues and such); they are the only things that REALLY bother me sometimes.

Like: Pretty much everything. Beautiful graphics, Personal Story, Living World, WvW, PvP, Dungeons. Awesome dialogues, interesting characters. Jumping puzzles. Guild Missions. Interaction of arenanet with their players. No subscription fees, no pay2win. Nice combat-system. More than one year played and still so much to do. Well, I think my list could be continued for quite a while.

And yes, I’m 100% serious.

Love: No Trinity
Hate: Everyone who says they’ve quit but still insist on trolling the forums

Love: PvE Gameplay

Hate: Restrictions (Time-gating, binding etc.)

Hate: Lack of meaningful progression
Love: Lack of required progression.

I’m sorta doublestandard, but I find the game to be boring at most times. I’m a PvE person btw.

I can’t WvWvW for weeeee hours, because there is no point. No meaningful consequence if we win, no huge advantage if we lose since it’s separated on PvE.

I can’t PvE for weeeee hours since it’s boring due to lack of roles and diversity. GW2 is all about DPS. I feel like it’s an 80’s game, Pacman. All about eating and running.

Maybe you don’t understand humans and you think like a computer… kinda like sheldon from the big bang theory. Every other person knows, that with ‘hate’, we mean ‘dislike’,

Hate: The people that constantly put the game down yet continue to play.

Like: I’d be here all day if I listed everything I like about the game.

Hate: Game takes 2 steps back

Like: Game takes 3 steps forward

(is it a dance?!)

Hate: The blatant ignoring of the PvE (Dungeons, not this terrible open world excuse for PvE) players.

Like: The rewarding combat style – You know how to play? You can do more damage by equipping Berserker armor.

Going to add a neutral feeling about the missing trinity. It’s something that I increasingly seem to miss, but I’m also enjoying the absence.

hate: removing things from the world/ temporary content

LOVE the fights with mass people- for all it’s faults, this game has more huge fights with more players be it world bosses or WvW, better thank any other game I’ve played and hopefully Anet will improve things even more in the future (and learn from the failed Tequatl rehash).

Hate: Speed runs
Like: Plushy Griffons!

Like: Graphics/animations and the fluid combat

Hate: How the entire game is super-easy-with-no-thinking-required-no-skill-required-zerg-to-win-while-mashing-the-1 button-like-a-mouth-breather.

Of course I understand that they mean “dislike”. Holy kitten, it would be hard to live amongst people being full of hate against so many things. What I do not understand is, why they can’t just say “dislike” then. I mean, if a guy would tell a girl that he loves her when he just likes her, and then ends up breaking her heart when she finds out he doesn’t really love her… then he’s a jerk, right? But saying “hate” when you mean “dislike” is okay? Such things are how misunderstandings are born, and they often have a negative impact on relationships between people.
