I dont know, none of those 3 names seems fitting, and i just couldn’t vote for one of them. All three names are “epic”, but these guys are more like a gang of psychos, not a band of legendary heroes. That doesn’t mean that i hate them, but if i had to choose a name, it would be something like The Drama Queens, or The Wasted Bunch.

I ended up “settling” for Eternity’s Guard.

I went with The Unbroken just to get away from the Noun’s Noun format. It was that or Dragon’s Watch to go with what the group has formed to do. Eternity’s Guard seemed just too grandiose for a ragtag bunch of youths.

“watch” is a noun?

It is if you are a member of the watch, an old/fantasy term for town guards.

Unbroken has some reason-ability.

norn → lost someone
Marjory → lost someone
asura → lost someone

but they are unbroken and continue the fight. course, i don’t remember if rox n kasmeer have anything to be broken up about

The Eternity one also sounds cheesy.

The unbroken just seemed, off and everyone I asked agreed. Dragon’s watch was a bit too on the nose. So I went with Eternities Guard. I feel like with this one we’re not tied down to being dragon slayers FOREVER!

Well, the tiny clock you can wear on your wrist or on a chain is called a “watch”. And a “watch” can also mean the act of observing/protecting a person, place, or thing. So, yup. Noun and verb.

Eternity’s Guard also makes sense. They are guarding against eternity being ruined by the elder dragons. They also are the “reincarnation” of Destiny’s Edge, making Destiny’s Edge ‘eternal’. I also feel it is fitting enough. I would have prefer somethink more like “End of Destiny”. Still, Eternity’s Guard is the best option.

I voted for, “The Unbroken,” because if it ain’t broke it can’t be fixed…and I am of the opinion that they can’t be fixed.

And because it sounds like, “Unforgiven,” both an amazing movie and a great song.

I went with Eternity’s Guard… It was the only one that didn’t make me immediately roll my eyes. The Unbroken sounds a little too much like an MCR cover band and Dragon’s Watch is too literal and too limiting.

I voted “none of the above”.

Well of course, that wasn’t an option so I just didn’t bother voting. I think all the names are unworthy of the creativity we’ve seen from the writers. There’s one that sounds like a sentry tower, one that sounds like a new sort of undead, and one that sounds like a comic book character (that might be rendered poorly in a live-action film).

Then again, I guarantee that few of us will care in six months — if the story is good (along with fun events, instances, and some cool loot), we’ll talk about that. If the story is bad, we’ll be talking about how GW2 is dead (no it’s not — yes it is — not it’s not — yes… ok, we’ll probably be talking about that anyhow).

It’s like Chinese Democracy. Here are your three party approved candidates, choose one.

I was thinking there would be a write in and I was going to suggest “The Misfits” because every one of them is exiled in one or more ways from the mainstream.

Marjory is estranged from her family.
Marjory and Kasmeer have a non-traditional relationship.
Rox is a gladium
Braham was abandoned as a child by his mom (and as far as I can tell doesn’t know his dad either)
Taimi is disabled

I would have voted for Nobody’s Favorites, but from the 3 options I chose none because they all seem silly and basically too much for a “group” which I never could take seriously.

I would actually preffer they were actually named “None of the Above”, if that were an actual option.

I second that.

As far as I’m concerned the entire GW2 story is atrocious. Played GW1 since Prophecies and GW1 had many lovely characters players cared about. Who cares about GW2 “heroes”? They are scripted like teenagers and have no hero qualities.

The only character in GW2 that I can think of, who is genuinely a positive and likable character, is Caduceus. His manor is also the best looking place in the entire game, the guy has taste. No wonder that ANet creators of psycho characters don’t like Caduceus and made him into a bad guy in their own story. The same thing goes with Ascalonian ghosts and separatists, and NPC’s in Ascalonian dungeon. Those NPCs there are the heroes. They should’ve been on the side of the player. But no. I even needed a help of a guildie because I couldn’t do one part of the storyline without killing Ascalonians, which I refused to do.

I would pay for the game content that allows me to side with the real heroes and good guys (Ascalonian ghosts, Caduceus) against the bad guys.

Anything that isnt Dragons Watch is fine, I voted Unbroken but admittingly Eternities Guard seems like a better name since it fits rather similarly to Destinies Edge.

It feels like a continueation if not evolution of DE.
