Nothing. The cancelled legendaries ruined this game for me. Such a rip off.

j/k

The combat is a good one, the graphics. The amount of detail in some of the newer maps at least, like the Guild Halls and Tangled depths with how intricately woven they are.

My only complaint is that I wish they would start kicking out some more content and some new maps soon.

Oh, and better ways to earn gold. I like that the economy isn’t ruined like it was in WoW, but I also don’t like being perpetually broke. lol

Level scaling.

Yes I know, we have all gotten used to it but really, go have a look at some other MMOs and their 90%+ deserted zones. Level scaling makes the game about 8 times the size for end game characters.

The way the game encourages people to work together instead of against each other (in PvE) – personal loot, gathering nodes, mobs can be tagged by more than one player, dynamic events, open-world bosses, etc… Unlike in WoW, you’re actually happy to see other players out in the open world.

No kill-stealing, everyone shares the nodes, everyone can res, and the lack of a single specific class that is a requirement for every single piece of group content.

While I have provided multiple reasons, they all basically just fall under this umbrella of a deminished capacity for personal griefing. It still happens but not in a way that gets under my skin.

I fled to GW 1 because I was so sick of people telling me to get out of “their” space as soon as I stepped in it even if I was just getting from point A to B.

Oh and ladycharr. Thank you so much for giving us kitten feminine Charr instead of cats with boobs.

It’s not really entirely nonsense as you could justify someone liking each individual aspect of the game for different reasons. (bugs/etc are not really in this but by aspects of the game I assume we mean intended things)

Maybe he/she enjoys all the various different aspects of play. The thread is geared for positive thinking lets keep it that way

Top of the list has to be the casual-friendly design: the fact that there’s no subscription and no ever-increasing level cap or equipment tiers to chase after, so that I can play at my own pace, focusing on what I feel like doing on any given day without falling behind and ending up excluded from content.

And also minimal grind and interesting ways to get XP. Yes, really. What people call grind in GW2 is considered normal, fun gameplay in other games where quests aren’t repeatable so grinding means finding a spot with a relatively quick respawn rate and standing still killing the same enemies over and over and over again for the tiny bits of XP they give because you have literally no other choice.

Of course there are lots of other things I enjoy: the map design (both HoT and core), the variety of things to do in the open world, the combat system, the art style…but I could probably find some combination of those, or equally good equivalents in other games. I don’t know of a single other MMO (except GW1) which gave me the same sense of freedom to do what I want, when I want without feeling like I’d be penalised for it.

(And yes there are of course things I’d like to see changed or improved, but we’ve got all the rest of the forum for that.)

Love … nothing.
Like on the other hand, that is easier. I feel like there is a lot of “I like this but this would be so much better if some tweaks were applied” but those never materialize. I think the combat system is great but I can’t think of an equally well designed fight to match up to it.

This is probably my top choice as well. Love the level scaling.

Others…no mob or resource tapping and waypoint system. Mob / resource tapping in other games truly leads to animosity among players. So many times (in other MMO’s) I’ve seen people complaining in general chat that “so-and-so stole my node”. First one there gets it, and people tend to think if they see it, it’s theirs. No problems like that here.

I can’t.

The thing I loved about GW2 was it’s build diversity but that’s going the way of the dinosaur. Every patch update the game gets easier and easier with less and less to figure out and explore.

The builds are becoming more and more obvious and the professions are fitting more and more into very specific isolated roles. Looks like the Holy Trinity snuck right back in.

Well I think he said you can only say one at a time, wait a while and then post your next thing.

As my second thing I will say : That there are no FedEx quests or quest that you have to do to gain levels enough to go to next part of the game.
