You spent all your money on a chance to get a precursor. You got the chance to get a precursor. Seems like a fair trade to me.

It’s why I avoid the Mystic Butt. Too many people blowing ALL their gold and suddenly have 2g kitten total to their name. Rage quits abound.

Remember guys, flush afterwards and leave the lid down.

The way this works is you toss in whatever extra exotics you can spare into the MF and hope you get lucky. No sane person spends his life savings on a casino and expects that he is guaranteed to gain more money from doing so.

I did this once hoping I would get a precursor or any other really expensive weapon for me to sell and get rich. I lost all my money and went to do CoF story dungeon and in the first loot bag I found Howl, precursor to Howler. I raged so hard after that xD

welcome buddy. i have lost almost 1k gold now and still not a single precursor.
I would be soo mad if anet release a new future and everyone gets a precursor easily and people like us get nothing as a compensation.
You know like people with multiple dye got unid. dye back? they could give us something back to… otherwise i would not even think about spending any € on gems anymore..

It all flows into the same sewer system, then it all goes out to sea.

My way was fueling my crafting to 500, i dropped every exotic i crafted in the process into the toilet. At least i got back exotics for that, and one i think had an expensive sigil i could sell afterwards. Only thing i use the djinn toilet is to empty my inventory of major sigils and runes in the hopes that once in a while an expensive Superior comes out. Oh, and the mystic salvage kits

I’m quite tired of people saying this.

Why should we try to pay a pathetic and always increasing price for a precursor to other people, just because they got lucky and I didn’t (not a single prec drop for me in about 3000 hours of playing and huge amounts of mobs killed)?

Most prec increased in price a 100% since the last patch. Nobody can keep up with that kind of exploitation.

Something legendary like that should not be purchaseable on the TP, or it should have a way to get it other than ridiculous RNG chances or TP.

Good thing I’m playing Diablo 3 instead of GW2 right now. At least I feel like I get good loot, money and drops there. Diablo 3 feels more like the visual/pretty outfit/etc game right now than GW2, and that’s pretty sad considering D3’s three-quarter-up angle look.

Precursor hunts are coming so don’t mess around with that mystic toilet ever again.

To be honest, people that loose all their money in the mystic forge should not whine. It was obviously their choice to try their luck, knowing full well that it is a gamble. So yeah. xD Sorry but no sympathy from me.

I have got 3 precursors from the Mystic Forge, I know this wont increase your chances but may give you a way to attain one w/o the lost.

My first precursor was just saving every rare weapon I got, I had four pistols, dropped them in got a precursor.

My second precursor was from CoF & TA exotic longbowx4

My third and most recent was from four random rares I collected between WvW & world boss/temples.

The 1st and 3rd method seem harder to come by now as boss farming is a set schedule.

That’s all, just save your first bank space for rares and exos, when bored pull out four drop them in, move on. I have done this method since release.

Farming rng is a loss.

Where did you get the idea that they were coming? Last dev post that I read was basically “we’re back to the drawing board”.

I mostly agree with you about not gambling but then again what else are you going to do with the gold?
