Guild Wars 2

My friend bought the base game only from official retailer. He bought that game this month. It’s not a big deal if he had bought the Heart of Thorns but he bought only the base game. Is it possible for him to get the refund?

As it was from a retailer, I doubt it as once the physical serial code is activated, you can’t really return it. You are more likely to get a refund if you had bought it from the official site here.

You can always try to get a refund by contacting the retailer, but it will be a challenge, so good luck.

They did gave a refund to people that bought Core game just before the release of HOT (Core is also in HOT)

Not sure if they give a refund to your friend, i think if you bought it within the month they did gave a refund for those people..

Unfortunately, those refunds were only given to those that purchased from the official site and not a 3rd party retailer, so submitting a ticket won’t help much here.

Anet doesn’t give refunds for other retailers. You still have to speak to the retailer about it.

Your friend really needs to speak to the retailer, it is outside of Anet’s hands.

He wasn’t quite sure about that game so I encouraged him to buy only the base game because it was cheaper.
And now he’s really upset and I’m feeling guilty.
