I know that a lot of people have probably had this problem at one point or another. I also know that world completion was about as clear as mud on launch and has since been easily defined. I would also like to point out that I very clearly know EXACTLEY what points I need (kitten you Kaening and your always holding garrison) but I just thought that this was an interesting bug that would surely have a simple enough fix.

Go check the points that you are missing.

POI? Vista? SP?

Then go look at your map and hover over each zone. It will tell you the % you are missing. Don’t forget to check WvW and the home instance of the Order of Whispers

The home instance of the Order of Whispers is the likely culprit here. It’s a POI that is outside the normal maps but still counts for the global achievement.

Sorry guess I should have explained better. I know what spots I am missing. I am at 100% for PvE. When I hover over each map they all say 100% except green borderlands in WvW. So I know exactley what points I am missing just thought it was interesting that the account based tracker has me at 99% but the character based tracker has me at 100%.

I did the whispers story arc with this character so it would be really interesting if I was missing that particular POI. Thanks for the help and comment though.

It is the same on mine, I have two characters at 99% world complete (both only needing langor gulch EB poi) and yet the character select screen shows 100%. I assume it just means 100% pve map complete.

Or the two spots use different methods of rounding.

i.e. for the one on the left side, 99.6 % is rounded up to 100% (which is in accordance to math custom), while the one in the dialog box rounds down to the full percentage, indicating that you haven’t yet reached 100%.

I wondered why my map completion on character select said 76 when it was actually 75 (its 78 right now though). And I feel for the OP, the green BL map is the only WvW map I have not completed. I still need 2 POIs and 3 SP for it.

The tracker that shows on the character select screen seems to round up. More than half my characters have 1% higher totals there than they do when I log into them and check their actual map listings. And that’s out of a sample group of 16 characters, where I update a spreadsheet with their Level, Funds Carried, Crafting Skills, Skill Points, Story Level, Current Personal Storage Use and Map Completion every time I log off of one.

I have a strong suspicion that this is the case and I would suggest that they both round down to the full percentage so that there is no confusion on the matter. Besides, it is slightly frustrating for the game screen to tell me literally everytime I log on that I’m so close to 100% it might as well round it up.

Just ridiculous. Everything after the second sentence is just insane amounts of dedication.

It’s definitely crazy person behavior, but I enjoy analyzing data about my play almost as much as the play itself. Maintaining the spreadsheet also helps me decide where to target my playtime, since I can see at a glance which character is going to have options that fit my mood (Map completion? Stories? Hunting materials?)

Later this week I plan to add a second page tracking individual zone completion %s, so I can say “I feel like finishing a map, but NOT IN THE SHIVERPEAKS” and know who could benefit. I also need to update which guys have completed which story mode dungeons, so I know who can lead teams. I guess I could track Fractals and PvP stats, but aside from WvW map completion that would be a while lot of blank cells.
