I just read through the post today on “Continued Improvements to the Megaserver System”. I appreciate some of the upcoming changes that will improve our experience for those of us who are not on the same server as our guilds. However, one thing that was left unsaid that is a significant aspect of multi server guilds is the awarding of guild commendations. Presently guild members from different servers have to guest onto the guild’s home server in order to get commendations when participating in guild missions. We may opt to participate without commendations simply by being on the same map/same instance, but that negates a significant reward for doing the missions in the first place.

Will the updated system also permit the awarding of guild commendations without requiring all members to be located/guesting on the same home server?

How can that be? I mean if you aren’t doing the SAME hunt/puzzle/challenge etc., meaning on the same server, how can you get the commendations. I see no way of awarding them unless you guest, etc on the same server.

We do not run a separate set of missions for each server that we have members on. We run only one set of missions and we ARE doing the very same hunt/puzzle/challenge. The issue is that we can participate without commendations because we can be on the same map instance thanks to the megaserver rollout. But participating this way does not award commendations for some reason.

I’m going to bump this up because I am wondering the same thing. Of course, the changes are actually detrimental to guild missions if commendations can only be earned by those on the home server. As it is now (before sept changes), each branch of the guild on each server can build and do guild missions. After the change, build missions are capped across servers actually meaning fewer missions would be able to be done. So it would only make sense that they would need to have missions and commendations be cross-server, but you are right in that it was not clearly addressed.
