Missed Tequatl because of LFG cooldown
how about turning up 10 min early? >.>
Why are you wasting time using lfg? It used to be 40 min to guarantee a spot, now I often drop in 10 min or less before and get the kill. Hoping from world to world is not useful.
At weekend tried to get in sw map, clicked join on 3 different parties and not once i actually got into the party. Somehow game counts it as a try and i got ‘greyed out’ this lasted for over 20 minutes. I just closed the game made a coffee came back 10 minutes later and i was able to join parties again.
At teq we always use the guild to get on a good map by taxing to avoid the lfg.
Just be wary of joining too many parties in quick succession.
I still think they need a similar queue system for joining a pve instance that they use for WvW.
Right-click → Join in Sparkfly Fen
“That instance is full. Would you like to queue up?”
Yes.
You then get a pop-up when the instance is ready, and have a 1min timer for accepting the offer to ferry across.
kitten it, you wasted a complete year of waiting for teq. Now the first chance you get will be beginning of 2016. Better mark your calendar.
When I get the LFG cooldown, I just restart the game and I can try to join again. But it is quite annoying when game counts also unsuccessful attempts.
Hm, lame question: why do people like Tequatl more than other world bosses? XD I only killed it once and I got crap from it…
huge amount of karma.
get at least 3-4 rares, good for ectos
min 1 gold, get 1 gold each different character, not capped at account.

Not to mention that it’s the most fun, compared to other bosses that die in less than a minute. And that tiny chance of an ascended drop I guess.
As suggested, knowing the LFG limitation, try to join the map a little earlier, it is a small “sacrifice” to do to ensure a spot. If you decide it is not worth the time and would rather take your chances by hopping around, then accept when it fails.
I still remember before megaservers, people would go for Sparkfly Fen at least 2 hours earlier, otherwise would be put into overflow.

There were plenty of groups and instances available but because the two first ones were bad I was locked out from the entire tool. Nothing to do with me being there just 15 minutes early. ArenaNets kittenty tool simply locked me out. I’d accept not finding an instance if it really was a case of no viable instances being available but I was literally locked out by faulty design.
So what do you propose happens to fix this supposed problem?
And how do you counter the dungeon griefers who constantly join groups they don’t fit with (and consequently get kicked from)? The LFG cooldown prevents them from constantly rejoining the same group over and over and over again.
You’ve presented a problem. Now suggest a solution.
