I’m not a big WvWer myself, but some of those might entice me in there. Not that I have aaaaaaany chance of getting enough tickets for one on AR.

I like them. I’m tempted to do WvW for them. But honestly I’d be more apt to use the tickets from after the season to buy dragonite for my ascended armors that only need dragonite. :\ Dilemmas.

I really adore the scepter and staff.

That hammer is made for gurd even the end of it has a symbol look to it as if it should leave such a mark.

I want to like them, but those swords just annoy me.

I’m very impressed. The people that design weapons have made a lot of items that are wildly over-the-top with animations, particle effects, etc., but these look good. They are shiny enough to look special without looking completely ridiculous.

These are shiny, but they look like they’re made of metal and are solid enough to not break after landing a blow.

I like them a lot.

Too bad I don’t do WvW so I’ll (I assume) never be able to get them. Oh well, toss them on the pile of skins I like but will never get along with fractals ones I guess.

The first time I think the community is near unanimous in their opinion about the skins.

The mace, is probably the best mace in GW2 (not much competition), shield, hammer are really good too.

Really great looking skins. I’d have picked up at least 12 skins if I could buy them from the gem store or from the TP as BL chest skins put up for sale…or earn them in a non-PvP game mode. It’s a shame one would need to take part in WvW to get them. Oh well.

I’m rather impressed with all of these. I’ve been meh about the greatsword and sword skins since Dragon Bash but both of these came out really well this time. The longbow still suffers the same issues I’ve had with several others, that it looks like way too much weight to be held straight at arms length without causing a lot of issues. Which sucks as I do like the color, design and animations.

All in all I’m rather glad that I’ve recently ordered parts for a new computer and will actually be able to participate this season.

You after complete the WvW achievements and have 9 weeks to do so…

You don’t even need to go to the proper WvW maps, they have said you can complete all achievements in Edge of the Mists map, which is kinda half WvW, half PvE.

However, how many skins you get depends on how well your server does overall, it varies between 200 – 500 reward tickets, last – first place. 200 may get you 1 mistforge weapon skin with additional crafting, 500 2 mistforge weapon skins with some crafting. 1 mistforge weapon complete with no crafting is 300 tickets.

So its a long term project (grind), probably take 6-12 WvW tournaments to get all the skins.

So how can we get these? Where is that “WvW Weapons Specialist”?? This is confusingé

well, except for one slight problem that affects almost every single weapon in the game

You have to wait for the end of the Tournament. At that time, all players who have completed the meta achievement will receive a number of tickets based on their server’s final placement. You can then turn in those tickets for a variety of rewards, including the weapon skins.

So we earn these weapons through WvW achievements, correct? Can the skins then be applied to PvE gear with the wardrobe system? Because although I like the looks of the weapons, I’m not a huge WvW fan, so I don’t want to put a bunch of time into something I don’t really care about to get gear I won’t use normally.

I want the tournament to end already so I can get my weapon. I’m a warrior so I don’t even use 1h maces much but it so perfectly compliments my armor (human cultural T3) I am picking it up at the very least for general PvE. (Yes…I will change play-styles for a better looking beatstick.) I will probably take the basic Hero’s weapons so I can get more and the mist effect is hardly noticeable on a few of them anyway…and certainly not the most important part to me.

If I can I think I also want the shield. Shield or axe. Both also on the not-used-much list but with traits now changeable at whim…I am experimenting with new weapons and combinations for the first time since lvl 1-15. To my surprise after making some exotic 1h maces tonight…actually having fun dual-wielding them. Close enough to my old Hammer in abilities with just the right amount of newness.

(Hammer is the one weapon there I really don’t care for…its the shape. Staying with my Genesis, lovely ol’ gal.)
