Mistlock Instabilities ideas for Fractals 51+
Since 42 already reduces endurance regen, how about for 59 that Endurance will only return after fractal completion (so after each big chest and you get a whole 2 dodges for the entire fractal)
and 60 would have to be Agonizing Expedition if the future levels follow the same pattern that has been started.
so your 60 will be 61….
62 – Utilitarian Setback -All utility skills have double recharge time and reduced effectiveness
63 – AoE Overkill - All AoE skills, shouts and signets effect enemies as well as party members.
64 – Hot Foot - Standing still causes you to burn (same as the platform at the end of grawl)
65 – Inept Revival - Party members cannot revive each other and checkpoint message will only appear upon a party wipe.
66 – Don’t drink the water - Food & Potion consumables cannot be used and any boons applied will periodically convert to conditions.
67 – Ominous Unknown - Red rings are hidden so you’ll never know what’s coming until it’s too late.
68 – Explosive hits - Melee damage to enemies has a 30% chance for them to drop a bomb upon hit.
69 – Metamorphic Transformation - Prove the sun shines through you, face the fractal in another form! Players are randomly transformed into a variety of Tyrian wildlife and must fight using only the skills provided.
and 70 would be the Agonizing Expedition once again…..
i like the reaper one that was datamined or whatever on dulfy
reaper: death periodically strikes which i can only assume to mean occasionally a random party member will die. best instability.
They already have Mistlock Instabilities for above 50. Although they are probably not implemented yet.

Yep as others have said, they’ve already planned the future instabilities but I love the OP’s mystery box idea.
OOh! I hadn’t realized that there were others that were datamined!
Interesting that some of my ideas I found in there
“Hardcore You cannot resurrect allies”
“Tenderfoot The floor hurts you”
I like these too!
No Second Chance Downed state equals death
Tag Team One player must remain out of combat
Finesse Two-handed weapons are very ineffective
Barbaric Only two-handed weapons are effective.
Weak Link If one party member dies, all die
Ensnared Spike traps periodically appear
I love having different situations to work through and hope that at least one of the levels is a random instability rather than X Level is X instability.

Should have been random from the beginning, with higher levels having a larger list of mistlocks to use, and maybe even multiple random mistlocks at even higher levels.
Didn’t Anet realize everybody would just naturally skip the harder or more annoying levels with preset mistlocks?

This. When I first heard about the Mistlocks I assumed they’d be random. You know what they say about assuming…
and if they were random what’s to stop them from rolling for instabilities?
XX – Space-time distortion: You can be periodically teleported anywhere within 3000 range and you will have the amount of health + conditions that you had 2 minutes ago. (It could be to your death)
XX – Trait confusion: Your heal, utility, elite skills and traits are randomized. All skills and traits are locked in this fractal level.
XX – Quaggan instability: You can be periodically transformed to a Quaggan for 1 minute (Similar to Quaggan Tonic). You will be vulnerable to friendly fire.
XX – Epidemic: Conditions that you receive instantly spreads to your nearby allies.
XX – Choreographed Moves: CC that you receive instantly applies to your nearby allies.

Ah, I see. I haven’t checked Dulfy’s website for a while so I might have missed that.

Too much work to roll for both swamp AND a good mistlock. Or they could just give us a different random mistlock for each fractal shard.
