Mobs resetting.
+1 Very annoying.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Major complaint since Press beta….aka Over a year now.
Also the fact of the mob re-spawn rate is worse where you kill them then boom…you are running out your cave and you get ganged on and die.
This is the major flaw with mob tethering, and why I’ve always thought it’s a second-rate solution to the issue of mob aggro. The industry seems to have accepted it and it’s become a standard, but I hated it the first time I saw it in a game for this reason. It’s a mistake, and developers need to find a better solution.

Whats even more irritating is when it runs back to the spot regens up to max then runs back and kills you because you did not regen as it did..
wish these things would get looked at…
It’s a bug, but one I rarely come across. If it happens often enough to bother you, perhaps you should take a look at what you are doing when this triggers, and find a different way to engage the enemy that doesn’t cause the bug to trigger.
It’s pretty silly, and a lame workaround to poor AI.
The idea is that you can’t abuse the AI to where you can attack it and it can’t reach you. Well, instead of making the AI better, they just decided that they should arbtiarily heal. I don’t have anything wrong with enemies healing over time, but this can be very annoying since the boundaries are vague and espeically bad with stuff like champions.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
So far I’ve only run into the bug underwater, enemies will suddenly go invulnerable and break combat, then attack again when healed to max.
I suspect people who hit this bug are trying to “farm” enemies and looking for the point where they can just barely hit the enemy but are positioned so that the enemy cannot hit back. If you do this you will naturally hit that boundary a lot.
happens relatively frequently if you are not face tanking the mob. Recently started using sword of my thief and was practicing by killing the champ boar in queensdale and trying to fight it without getting hit. So lots of dodging, shadowstepping and what not. It felt like if i don’t take damage for a set amount of time it resets, even when the location is no where close to the leash distance. No exploitable terrain in that region either.
