Doesn’t matter. It’s an indication of difficulty, I think, just like the Mad King’s JP. Difficult JPs = GOOD.

All a Guardian has to do to run it is spam Aegis with perma swiftness and you are practically guaranteed to succeed with the bomb so long as you know the path and don’t dilly-dally. Although you do know that you don’t have to actually open the chest at the end to get the achievement, right? You only need to reach it. That said, if you do need help, whisper me in-game sometime.

YUP! definitely need more. & big ones with enemies! =D

Although i must agree mad king clocktower jp was hard it was not as frustrating as skipping stones i enjoyed trying again and and again eventually i made it. only thing i didn’t like was all the charrs and norn blocking the path.

I hope it is harder than Mad King’s. Mad King’s was really quite simple once the mechanics were understood.

Make sure to start jumping naked. At least it won’t cost so much

EDIT: I too am severely jumping impaired. Not sure if we have to repair after a falling death or not. I forget these things.

No jumping puzzle is hard for you. Some of the rest of us can’t jump out of bed. I just find JP’s hard to maneuver. Poor eye/hand coordination I guess.

I still have fun trying. And trying. And trying. Did I say, “And trying” yet? lol

It’s nice to see that it’s a permanent addition. Can’t be too exited because I’m not really good at this, the Halloween one was more frustrating then fun for me … but we’ll see. No fears, no expectations.

I watched my friend do a JP khefka while at his house. It’s more than that, some just don’t seem to have fast reflexes with their fingers or have gotten that perfect timing down just yet (protip: if you jump right when you’re about to fall you get VERY good distance on the jump).

wow exotic shoulderarmor… a unique reward! I’m hyped now too Finally something to show that you’re skilled?! We’ll see.

kitten Griffonrook. I ended up just running to the end to get the achievement. That amount of frustration is not worth 2 masterwork items.

I found Griffonhook pretty easy. I have problems with some others though.

Mad King’s was good except for two things. One, you had to do it with a giant group of people, so that half the time your character (especially if you were an asura, like me!) was so buried that you couldn’t even see yourself and you would die for that silly reason. Two, you had to wait for a LONG time in between attempts. If you died at the beginning because you could see due to a giant Charr or Norn, it was like a 1.5 or 2 minute wait. Listening to that dumb NPC chant about a mouse running up the clock and dying.

They improved all that with the Wintersday one by splitting people into three groups and giving you snowballs to play with while you waited.

So here’s hoping this one is hard for legitimate reasons, and not just hard because of a dopey design! Looking forward to a fun new JP!

Yeah I can’t wait myself. I wouldn’t say I’m amazing at JP but I love the challenge that the Holiday ones in the past have given. The permanent in-game ones are not difficult at all in comparison for me.

Can’t wait to see what gimmicks will be around this one to kill you. xD

Doing it legitimately is just a super long “did you press all the keys at the right time? and did you get lucky with your aggro? and is your class well-suited to avoiding being hit?” Not worth the time involved at all.

And do it alone. Doing it with other people makes it 100% more difficult.

Here’s hoping the shoulderpads are actually usable by your character, isn’t soul/account bound, a usable/desired skin, sell-able and salvageable, as I’m sure many/most already have the armor they intend to use.

It’s Griffon*rook* Run by the way.
Mastering Griffonrook is very character dependent. Thieves have it easy here being able to stealth past the griffons.
Warriors? Not so much.

On topic, I’m always glad to see new jumping puzzles. The reward is a nice bonus, but most of the time I do puzzles for the puzzles themselves.

yes pelase Anet more hard puzzles for ppl who can actually jump and are not keyboard turning window lickers

Heres hoping we get some new skins with those shoulder pads.

Love JP’s but I am so bad at them its quite depressing sometimes, next to no coordination and terrible timing, but oh well Ill be the corpse lying at the bottom pleading for a res.
