Guild Wars 2

New armor sets incoming (probably gem store). I’ve including a screenshot of all three armor classes with this post.

Yep, the new steampunk sets from the gem store. Themed to fit in with Aetherblades that were accidentally leaked by ArenaNet. Whoops!

How hideous. At least I won’t have to worry about my gems when those come out.

are these confirmed to be armor? If so I care. If they’re yet another town clothes option… meh.

If Anet would just let us wear town clothes into PvE, they’d have much more of my money.

They’re armor. You can easily see that in the preview screen.

Ooooh awesome. I so want to try some medium pieces for my engi and maybe a couple heavy ones for my warrior. Hopefully they will look good on charr.

I’ll wait and see the male versions, but first impression is that I’d wish the gear shoulderpads were medium, just so that engineers could use them.

Lovely to see new armor available, but I don’t like the medium and light at all. The heavy looks nice though, actually has a nice feminine look to it, might get it for my guardian alt.

IMHO its definitely a skirt, there are shorter skirts already in game. The light set is the only one that I don’t like as a result, the medium and heavy sets look good.

This is exactly what I’ve been asking for from the gem store rather than RNG and more RNG.

So a new armor and actually tail does clipping on charr? Good job AN, keep it up.

I like for the most part. I’m not a big fan of the goggles though. I was shopping for some medium head gear to transmute onto a character’s boring mask and noticed a lot of the upper level items on TP just look like an eye patch. o_O

I got a nice hat with a feather though.

Nobody. But that is the only source of new armor skins that we’ve been getting since launch. It’s safe to assume. Not to mention there were supposed leaks showing an icon with all of these pieces coming as a set.

Going to check when I’m done downloading the update, but it’s true that the heavy set looks like a reskin, or terribly close to one…
I know I’m always asking for new armor skins, and even if I don’t like those, at least it’s something…but why go to all that trouble of thinking about new armor skins when they have NPCs wearing armor that should have been available to players ? :/

Those don’t look anything alike aside from the one common feature: they are both armor.

Meh, I’ll pass, thanks. Not even really seeing any pieces I can use for mixing and matching. They can do better than this.

ugh.. after looking through these. I have to say.. what were they thinking? These are just weird. Giant gear sticking up & out of the shoulder at a un-integrated, clunky, smack-into-your-head angle? Male human heavy with more tiny feet armor. The medium Male looks very much like all the other med male armor witch is disappointing..

i like them….to bad the kitteng tail clips through the armor for charr!!

Horrendous looking sets, Anet wont be getting me to part with any cash for those.

No, they are not reskins at all. If you haven’t seen them in game don’t talk like you know what you’re looking at.

I might end up getting the entire set— I already have some color ideas running in my head with it as well as some mix-and-match plans for other looks. It might come in handy!

Well at least they continue the fine trend of making armor I don’t have any desire to pay for. It is strange they can make weapons I would willing pay for, but refuse to gamble for. But can’t seem to make a decent set of armor.

I hope they’re gem shop..And not RNG..LOL…they desperately need to start adding armor skins to the shop, as lots of ppl will buy them. So over town clothes…

…I get the feeling of air combat with this set.

I think that with the deleted achievement set earlier, and the similarities to the dredge steampunk’ed designs, methinks we might get aerial places soooon. Or Cantha/Elona accessible by air.

What the hell is that ugly armor? seriously they could have made a much better job on those sets. The other three sets that released from GW1 looks pretty crappy aswell, especially the light armour. Do they really think these armour sets will sell when they make them uglier than the armour sets you can get in-game?

It could have been a little better but overall me and my engie guild are pretty excited for this armor. Though we are just glad we didnt get stuck with the light version And its normal armor not town clothes

This…will look weird on my Sylvari. It’s somewhat different at least from what we have now I guess so it’s welcome.

I like these sets- Lots of possibility to mix and match.

I don’t really like the set (and the medium one looks bizarrely not at all fitting for an engineer – especially compared to the light and heavy) yet I am still incredibly annoyed the medium armour is a bloody coat. Since the beta medium armour wearers have been begging for some armour that’s not a bloody coat and the first new armour set added to the game is another bloody coat.

Please stop making more coats for medium armour.
