This dye is account bound but unidentified. Does it give a dye that we do not have or is there a chance of getting one that we already have and cannot trade because it is account bound? I have to be honest, if there is a chance of getting something that I already have then I will not be spending any gems on this.

It will likely work the same as the current unidentified dyes; you will have a chance at finding a dye that you already have unlocked.

I can’t say this for fact though, as I can’t log in to test at the moment.

On another note, the unidentified are acc bound, that doesn’t means that the resulted dye is acc bound too. I imagine that you can sell whatever drops out of it (Celestial for example if you are that lucky).

Yes there’s a chance you’ll get something you have already. I find this to be a just a great added on bonus. It’s something you need to make Bifrost. 100 unidentified dyes. So 20-30 dyes helps out quite a bit.

“Double click to identify one random dye color, which can be unlocked for all your characters or recycled at the Mystic forge.”

Why specify recycle at the mystic forge instead of saying sell on the trading post unless it’s account bound and can’t be sold?

If they replaced 2 bag slot expansions with 1 storage expansion (both 800gems) I`d buy 1 pack at discounted rate of 2000gems. However I will not becouse for me character bound bag expansions are pretty useless.

Idea is cool but they could have chosen more interesting items to put in there or perhaps more packages with more variation of items to appeal to wider playerbase.

Seems like a starter pack to me. Which 2 bank slots and 2 bag slots is a great thing imo for anyone just starting. I am still on the new side and find this to be a great deal. I don’t have either maxed so it’s useful. For the vets though. . . seems like there’s no relevant package.

Dyes can be unlocked for unlimited uses to color armor on all characters. Dye bottles can also be recycled in the mystic forge.

So I assume you can also sell the identified dyes as well. We’ll see.

Yah. Pretty pricy though. Most likely the person is going to get a common dye for their gems that they could have bought for 3 or 4 silver, but ANet does love it’s RNG.

So wait a sec, do the account bound and regular unidentified dyes stack?

If not you can’t then those account bound dyes can’t be used in the MF for the gift of color
