New weapons for Classes
Legendary SoloQ
Mesmer: shortbow either stacking bleeds or confusion.
Or
Mh and Oh dagger: you either throw the dagger as a power based range hand or have it as a close range condition weapon
Warrior: Two handed Axe. Pure damage. Kill lot’s of stupid thieves.

Pretty much theory crafted a new weapon for thief and necro, not flawless but I would love to see them
Holy crud that was post # 3050503 what does it meeeeaaaaaannnn
Engineer – anything, anything at all, with decent damage/attacks.
I agree completely with GS for Ele’s. That would be amazing. I Think Rangers should have rifles hands down. Might be neat, or completely stupid, to see Engies with some combo of a dagger in the sense of a Swiss Army Knife. Thieves should get rifle as well with a set of skills that more of a sniper variant. In the same instance I think a mesmer would look cool shooting out illusions with The Dreamer. I’m not sure I have any good ideas, but I know it’s fun to think about.
Warrior – Greataxe, Staff, Buckler
Guardian – Longbow, Tome, Buckler
Thief – Whip, Claw, Rang, Staff, Buckler
Ranger – Greataxe, Rang, Staff
Engineer – Mace, Hammer, Staff
Elementalist – Tome, Whip, Greatsword
Necromanccer – Greataxe, Tome, Claw
Mesmer – Whip, Tome, Claw, Buckler

Ranger: Staff
Engineer: Hammer
Necromancer: MH Sword and OH Torch
Mesmer: Shortbow
Thief: MH Mace and OH Sword
Elementalist: Greatsword
Guardian: Longbow
No firearms on my ranger, please. Goes against the whole theme of the class. Same with bows on an engineer. I’d rather they add in crossbows and allow Rangers, Engineers, Warriors, and Thieves to use them.
Ranger: Hammer, staff (nature weapons and magic as opposed to loud, destructive guns).
Engineer – anything, anything at all, with decent damage/attacks.
Yeah. If you don’t want to run round with a flamethrower all the time, P/Sh is pretty much only decent choice. Do P/P for lol’s (pitiable ranged flame attack and glue? really?) and rifle for giggles when doing that knockdown shot. But other then that, useless.
Thief: Longbow or Rifle (we don’t have 1200 range, so, yeah.) and OH Sword.
Resident Thief
Thief: Longbow or Rifle (we don’t have 1200 range, so, yeah.) and OH Sword.
Least it’s better then when I made my first toon. Back then you could throw your dagger as far as your bowshot. Least the bow hits 900 now.
I can imagine a sylvari guardian with kudzu, so cool _
Legendary SoloQ
I would enjoy seeing the Engineer get a focus (or other off-hand weapon) that would enable them to summon (build?) mini assault golems and/or a suicide bomb golem. Something similar to Mesmer clones or Necromancer minions.
A mace might be neat too, if only that it would let them equip http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fixer_Upper (though I think that would be a bit redundant with the Tool Kit)
I want dual wield shield.
I really want some ranged aoe weapon with direct damage for necros.(to replace staff-scepter/dagger) With constant condition nerfs with every patch I don’t want to play as condition build anymore.
I legitimately want rangers to have access to rifles and pistols (gasp). ANet have already shown they’re willing to do things they said they weren’t going to do. Not letting rangers use guns “because nature” just feels silly at this point. I mean, c’mon, is there like some Tyrian Ranger Association that’s going to come hunt me down and take away my nonexistent ranger license?
Let them. I’ll kneecap ‘em and then /dance and do the Carlton because that’s totally fine.
As an Elementalist, I do not desire a greatsword. How about a sceptre rework? I believe ArenaNet should take a nice fine look at the weapons first before they even think about giving them to other professions.
I really just want thee warrior to get a 1 hand range weapon
I really don’t see the point of these reposts about asking “can we have additional weapons plzzzzz”, because:
a) Litrally any weapon would fit for any character if Anet wants it to.
b) New weapons affects balancing therefore the act of repetitively suggesting for new weapons – or skills – or even classes is utterly pointless (they’ll never find a way to do it in away that can fit for everyone’s preference).
c) Anet’s bond to take forever to pass their new weapons/skill through their so-called “internal balancing legislature”.
case & point op: Whatever you wish Anet to do it’s a good thing to get it off your chest because your excitement for the game will soon turn into “look I’ve been patience with y’all but I guess this gaming company simply doesn’t care to simply give the people what they want or at least let everyone try to have some new personal exploration with crazy but awesomely cool unbalanced builds”.
Naw, this has to be done ‘perfectly’. Though so much for that Anet.

I would like to see pistols for elementalists. Seriously, it’s not like we also have to buy arrows and bullets so I see no issue with elementel typr ammunition with pistols like fireballs and the like. Also, I would like to see great axes added to the game, regardless of profession, I believe that a two handed axe would help to balance out the weaponry a bit. It’s always bothered me that there are hammers and great swords but know two handed axe weapons. Last but not least I would also recommend hand to hand for all professions maybe implemented with knuckle dusters or some type of glove weapon if nessecary however, I believe unarmed would be just fine. Martial prowess does not begin with weapons. Any martial artist will tell you that they train hand to hand just as much if not more than weapons.
Elementalists should be able to access greatswords… I mean you already have it with the Fiery GS, just need to add 3 new attunement spells.
Thiefs should be able to equip rifles.

Ranger: Staff built around zerg play.
Mesmer: Dual torches, stuffed toy, and lute
Engineer: Frying pan, old shoe, and telephone
Warrior: Boxing gloves, giant stick, and dual warhorns
Guardian: Dual shields, pillow, and bagpipes
Thief: Wallet, purse, and crowbar
Elementalist: Umbrella, paddle, and cow launcher

Necromancer: Rubber chicken, accordion, and rusty spoon
Warrior: 2h Axe
Guard: Spear
Mesmer: Fan
Ele: Tome
Thief: Claws
Necro: Scythe
Engi: Bazooka (horrik got one.. its not far out)
Ranger: Staff
It surprised me, more than a little, that rangers could use staves in the original game, but not here.
Guardian: Longbow, Warhorn. No off-hand weapons for guardians please!
Warrior: None (of the current weapons types, I’d like them to have a polearm though).
Thief: Off-hand Sword, Rifle.
Ranger: Staff (for Druid-y skills).
Engineer: Hammer and/or main-hand mace.
Necromancer: Off-hand axe, maybe torch (for creepy light stuff)
Mesmer: Main-hand pistol, off-hand dagger.
Elementalist: Off-hand scepter.

Everybody could use staves in GW1, however there were no ‘ranger staves’ as far as I know.

I just want sword and shield for ele, hammer/mace/GS for necro. Engi can get any weapon and they can make it work for any build honestly. Warrior pistol offhand for heavy condis, id prefer to do it have bleeding/burning and a knock down. Guardian shortbow, ranger staff. Thief absolutely anything, im so tired of their limited weapon set. Probably the most mobile class in combat with a fluid initiative system but is trapped with such a tiny weapon set its annoying. Mesmer needs a main hand weapon like mace or axe. Everyone keeps asking for a pistol but its stupid Mes already has a power and a hybrid/condi ranged weapon. Needs more melee options desperately
Hammer on Engi.
Rifle for a Thief.
Selfishly I want a shortbow for all professions so I can use The Dreamer on everything.
Best NA rallybot on EU
Engineer: Hammer
Elementalist: MH Sword
Necromancer: OH Axe (Please give it a retaliation ability)
Guardian: MH Shield (DUAL SHIELDS)
Mesmer: MH Pistol
Thief: Longbow
Ranger: Hammer
Warrior: Meh…
scythe for my necromancer and whip for my mesmer
Engineer: Mace or Hammer or both, but I’ll be inclined for mace more
Elementalist: other than torch I don’t see what other weapon
Necromancer: Scythe / main hand sword
Guardian: Cross-bow preferred if not LB, Javelin, of-h sword and Pole arm
Mesmer: maybe an off hand dagger nothing else (LOL shield for Mesmer)
Thief: Rifle for sure, true sniper stuff and someone mentioned claws
Ranger: Javelin and Rifle maybe but not sure
Warrior: Great-axe/Battle-axe, maybe Javelin (no pistol LOL)
I’d still go for dual-wield disc-like weapons for eles, or something dual-wield. I must admit I never thought about a whip and now my head’s exploding! <3
As I’ve said this several times among this reappearing topic, the classes should get only Weapons, that do fit to them. I’m absolutely strictly agaisnt such junk ideas like “all Weapons for all classes”, which would be just a pure balancing nightmare for the Devs.
With giving classes only weapons, that do fit to them, it stays overviewable.
Warriors: Torch, Great Axe, Polearms (Halberds, Spears, Lances ect.), Tower Shields (MH), Flails
Thieves: OH Sword, Axes, Maces, Torch, Whip/Chain Sicle, Quarterstaff, Flails, Crossbow, Claws
Rangers: Crossbow, Whip/Chain Sicle, Quarterstaff, Polearms, Staffs, Scepter, Focus
Engineers: Maces, Hammer, Crossbow, Tower Shields, Torch
Necromancers: MH Sword, Greatswords, Whips/Chain Sicles, Claws, Flails, Torch
Guardians: Great Axes, Polearms, Tower Shields (MH), Longbows
Elementalists: Swords, Greatswords, Shield, Shortbow, Torch, Whip/Chain Sicle, Rifle
Mesmer: Shield, Whip/Chain Sicle, Polearms, MH Pistol, Rifle
Guardians)- main hand axe, Long Bow, Warhorn
Warriors)- main hand and off hand pistol, torch,
Engineer)- main hand mace, Hammer, torch,
Thief)- main hand and off hand mace, off hand sword, staff, torch
Ranger)- staff, focus, scepter
Elementalist)- main hand sword, off hand mace, short bow
Mesmer)- main hand pistol, Warhorn, main hand mace
Necromancer)- off hand axe, main hand sword
Guardian. Huge 2H or 1H (combined with shield) Lance like in Tera.
Engi: really needs a bazooka
Mesmer: Fan
Warrior: Greataxe
and for classes with a Sword offhand Skills.
My newest thief desperately needs a staff to use as a melee beating stick. I’m imagining a mobile combo that bounces you between multiple targets like a humanoid dancing dagger/arrow. Throw in a tormenting knockback, a stealthing shadowstep, a skill that turns the enemy around, and an allied thief summon that’s different according to what stolen item you’re holding.

Ranger should get a Staff for their next weapon, or really, anything that’s not ranged.
No to Rifles and Pistols since Rangers already have 3 ranged weapons, and there is no reason to even think of adding one unless its different enough from Longbow, Shortbow, and Axe to justify its existence. “Rifles are Cool” isn’t enough reason to me.
While its true that there’s almost a 100% chance a Staff would be a ranged weapon, there are many more ways to make it different from already existing ranged weapons than you could with a rifle.
I’d like a main hand dagger for my ranger.
Scythes for necros and warriors would have been nice.

Standard two-target auto? What would be it focus condition, power, or hybrid. Would it continue the trend of evasive ranger weapons. If they got lazy it could end up with the thief 1 chain, an evasion frame move, and a disabling ranged attack that let the pet siphon health or some such pet related follow up.
It doesn’t have to be brand new weapons, just current weapons being used for other professions as well. Like pistols on warriors and GS on thief’s or something. Don’t know why they haven’t implemented it in yet. By this time in GW1 we had the release of Factions and two full new professions. Adding 5 skills for a few classes in GW2 should be easy for them.
Mesmer: Dagger
Elementalist: Revolver
Necromancer: Candlestick
Warrior: Spanner
Ranger: Rope
Engineer: Lead Piping
Ranger: Hammer
Necromancer: Greatsword
Thief: Rifle
Warrior: Main-hand Dagger/Off-hand Torch
Guardian: Main-hand Axe/Off-hand Mace
Mesmer: Main-hand Pistol/Off-hand Shield
Elementalist: Greatsword
Engineer: Main-hand Mace/Off-hand Torch
No new weapons needed. But all professions get 5 new weapon skills
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Ranger: Hammer
Necromancer: Greatsword
Thief: Rifle
Warrior: Main-hand Dagger/Off-hand Torch
Guardian: Main-hand Axe/Off-hand Mace
Mesmer: Main-hand Pistol/Off-hand Shield
Elementalist: Greatsword
Engineer: Main-hand Mace/Off-hand TorchNo new weapons needed. But all professions get 5 new weapon skills
If thats the case what Anet would do, giving first no new weapons, but just every class only 5 new weapon skills to keep it easy and overviewable with already existing weapons, something like this would make far more sense, than your examples here in my opinion.
Warrior: Main Hand Shield + Torch
Guardian: Longbow
Ranger: Staff
Thief: Main Hand Mace or Axe + Offhand Sword
Engineer: Main Hand Mace + Torch
Elementalist: Main Hand Sword + Shield
Necromancer: Greatsword
Mesmer: Rifle

I largely want a one handed melee weapon that is competitive with the sword that isn’t stuck with the problems the sword comes with. Other than that, I’m not that picky.

I want nature support magical staff skills on a ranger Staff to compete with Guardians’ staff support and Eles.
