I want to play all races, centaur, quaggans, skritt, tengu, Kodan, largos, (if like to be a nightmare court- I know it’s not a new race) you name it I wanna see how their story works.

Remember though that Skritt get smarter the more their numbers increase, conversely though, players tend to get dumber the bigger the mob gets.

As for Quaggan, imagine if you will a Quaggan with a Quaggan backpack that just seems kinda creepy to me.

From what I’ve heard, either Koda or Tengu (i forget which) already have animations made and were intended to be in the vanilla game but didn’t make it. So Tengu and Koda will most likely be the first new playable race.

Obviously quaggans or skritt being playable is a joke so, I’d pick quaggan for the troll factor.

Imo you can remove Kodan from viable races, they are pure polarbears, there is no customisation. It was Tengu that was originally planned to be in the game, but didn’t make it into vanilla.

Tengu is the most likely since Tengu were in the game already(Pre-alpha that is) and if not them then Stone Dwarves.

You people have to think about the lore. you can’t just pick a race you think is kitten and call it a good idea. IT needs to make sense and they need to have a huge impact on the world.

Um, Largos are not all evil. Where’d you come up with that. Largos are a perfectly viable race.

Skritt would be a nightmare, so would quaggan for armor clipping and tons of weird animations. I’d see Hylek being a better choice than quaggan imo, but just barely better.

Tengu is most likely, and maybe Koda, but definitely not largos. they look like weird undead butterfly sylvari things…

I’d love to play Skritt like the Gibberlings from Allods.

For those not familiar, Gibberlings were a race of little furballs who ran around in groups of three. Player characters Gibberlings consisted of three toons and their animations consisted of the three interacting.

It would fit the Skritt lore perfectly, as you would need several Skritt together to make them smart enough to be a PC.

But they can’t as far as faces go. A polar bear head is a polar bear head. It’s not like the charr. They are cat based and there are many different types of cats to pull from for inspiration.

My vote for Skirtt. I’ll get all shiny pieces for Skirtt. Shiny radiant skins, shiny ascalon weapons, zenith skins, shiny back items… There are lots of shinies for skirtt role play Also I love their funny talkings.

If I had to choose between Skritt or Quaggan, I’d vote for Skritt.

I vote for quitting the game if any of the two ever were implemented as playable races and lower the adviced age for the game from 12 to 3 year-old. As if plush backpacks weren’t enough.

Tengu are much cooler and have more back story and character development potential.

in more serious notes, Largos and Tengu, maybe kodan are the only ones i can see become a race we can play.

I think Mursaat is viable. “We” teamed up with them against some dragon. Don’t know what dragon, but “we” allied with the Mursaat, so it’s possible it could be Mursaat. Also Mursaat is very intelligent and powerful, it’s not like they are a lesser race.

Kodan makes the most sense, bi-pedal humanoid (and land based, no water based creature will become a class), same size as Norns so mapping armor isn’t a problem. Skritt and Quaggan don’t seem to be viable options. I like the Largos but again, water based, I’ve only seen one out of water during the personal story line at Fort Trinity. The only argument against Kodan is that they are pure polar bears and are not an original “race” such as Charr, Sylvari or the Asura are. Humans and Norns are both the same thing, one is just a larger version of the other.

Largos and Tengu are amongst my favorites too. But I don’t like the way current Tengu look in GW2 at all.

See now this is something that doesn’t make much sense lorewise. The Mursaat aren’t exactly good guys. Plus I can’t imagine they are fond of humans. Humans helped to bring about the events that pretty much wiped them out in GW1. Plus, there probably aren’t very many left after that. I suppose Anet could always make new lore discovering “good” Mursaat, but it would feel weird. We didn’t really ally with the Mursaat….at least I don’t think humans did, other races did. And it was very temporary because the Mursaat basically peaced out and left the others on their own.

I mean, I’m all for being a Mursaat. I think that would be cool. But it just doesn’t make much sense unless you created factions in this game and made them a part of an opposing faction to the current races.

This is easily fixed by allowing all other races to wear an extra pair of shoes on their hands over their gloves. See…problem solved.
