Is it currently cheaper to buy a whole additional account that includes the deluxe content than it is to upgrade my existing account? I know it’s to pull in new customers, but I feel like it’s crazy not to drop the price for existing customers down to at least the new account cost. =/

I too find this odd. I was planning on buying the upgrade until I logged in and found the price still set at 2000 gems.

I was about to buy the upgrade as well, I was expecting it to be on discount at the gem store, but nothing.

They should discount the upgrade as well, that would be the obvious thing to do.

So.. other than the "special’ elite skill, Golem banker and the mini, is there any real reason to get the DigitalDeluxe edition?

I would like upgrade my account. But i can’t becouse i must pay 2000gems when the cost of a new one is 15€. Can someone do somethings?

I would like to add my voice in here.

If the digital deluxe upgrade was reduced to 500 gems, I definitely would have bought it.

As it stands, an existing account would pay 4 times the price of a new account, that doesn’t seem quite fair. I hope it is an oversight.

It’s not uncommon for them to put the game on sale without putting the in-game upgrade on sale…But it would be nice if they did it, especially given how extreme this particular sale is.

I’m not going to buy a second account, because switching between the two and dealing with account-bound aspects of the game would be more trouble than it’s worth for me, but some discounts that are more relevant to current players might be nice, too.

I can’t complain too much about a sale, however, even if it’s not a sale relevant to my interests.

The digital upgrade can be purchased with in-game gold, the full game cannot (and that’s the point, get as much money as they can now the hype-train is running wild).

That’s why you must wait until the upgrade get its own discount.

I also was about to upgrade to the digital deluxe as I’m quite excited about the expansion and was therefore spurred on to upgrade. But 2000 gems is a bit mental in the first place, and completely out of the question with the current sale on new accounts.

It just discourages me from actually buying gems, which is a shame because it’s something I’m happy to do otherwise.

Personally, I’d like the upgrade to be discounted as well, but considering you CAN buy gems with in game cash, the game producers probably stand to lose some money if they did. And since the game is maintained by ppl buying gems and new accounts being made They can’t really afford to offer discounts like that. At least, IMHO.

The gems we buy with gold were bought with money first from people who traded them for gold so they still make money.

why should a paid discount apply to gems that can be bought with in game gold?

The Deluxe goodies cost $5 for new players. They should cost $5 for people who’ve been around playing and supporting the game all this time.

There isnt a discount because what’s in the gemstore is an upgrade to an existing account. The sale is on new accounts right now.

It doesn’t? This offer is aimed at getting new players to the game. Not at offering ingame bonuses for veteran ones. As promotions go, this is a pretty common behaviour.
