There are people clocking over 8.5k hours. That’s roughly 10+ hours a day, on average…

Guys, I am a passionate gamer since more than 20 years but that’s just very, very questionnable… Not only that it would be impossible for most people with work, hobbies, friends, etc.

aroud 1500 hours I believe. No drop, no buying off the TP and STILL managed to make Frostfang :P (It was a gift from a random stranger)

About the hours, while I agree that is an obscene amount of time, I am sure that most of that is AFK. I have people in my guild who do that. They log in, play for a couple of hours, then go to bed/work/dinner/etc. and don’t log off. So it counts those hours, even though they are not actually doing anything.

I am not sure. The client throws you out within 20-30 minutes. Not sure if the ‘/age’ command counts this towards playtime?

BTW, yes I managed to craft Sunrise, Kraitkin, Frostfang and Kudzu :-)

I’ve said this once, I’ll say it again; There should be an algorithm before the standard random generator that goes something like; “If player has played X amount of hours and precursor drop count is less than 1, drop precursor. Else, do normal loot generator.”

8732 hours no drop but got dawn at mystic toilet with a few trys of rare

Go the GW1 way, give us a method where you can earn the weapons.

I think i’m at 1250H of which MANY were spent farming NPC’s in orr which should get me more chances, no drops though

no precursor drops EVER but i got one from 4 random rares in the mystic toilet and i bought one from the TP. i guess zommoros owed me after the 1000s of gold i wasted on his gamblign forge

approx 1000hours on 4 characters, no precursors.
got 4 named exotic in said life span (2Xtruth, 1 guild defender, 1 Bonetti’s Rapier) though, if its any help.

I’m not at home so I can’t say accurately… but I’ve played between 3k – 4k hours and have been playing since headstart. Never had a precursor drop for me.

Got Howl during Halloween. Played 2365h since headstart.

2600~ hours since release, and the most valuable things I’ve ever gotten is a teq mini and a few ascended pieces. No precursor in sight.

My friend played half the hours and got a underwater precursor. It was sort of a happy moment and not, lol.

This entire thread is a great example of Cherry Picking and Confirmation Bias.

I had a dream last night I had 2 precursors drop in a 2 day span. A shield, and a wand of some sort. I was super stoked. But when I logged on the next day to try to sell them, they were gone from my inventory. Tried to submit a ticket, but woke up before I got the response….

Does that count?
