There’s lots for collections (like Exotic Hunter and Grand Artisan), and one for **having two legendary weapons (Twice-Told Legend), so why isn’t there a title for just making one? Shouldn’t we be rewarded for taking the time to collect the materials to craft them instead of just buying them off the TP? Something like just ‘Legendary’ would be nice.

I’m sure the people that bought their legendary weapons will be annoyed by this thread, but I want to be able to show people that I crafted mine. Why make the reward the same regardless of how you got to the goal?

Not putting two together.
Its to create 2 of the same one, since some people did that before we got wardrobe they got the title for their effort.

Pal, phrasing it in a way that doesn’t please you doesn’t mean I’m wrong. I guess I need to be extremely specific so people actually read my whole post instead of just nitpicking. My bad, clearly.

And you’re also incorrect, it’s for presenting two of the same one to an NPC. It doesn’t say anything about having to create them both.

You craft the precursor, not the legendary weapon.

You could always try making one of the newer legendary weapons, since those all force you through the crafting method to obtain them.

Again, nitpicking my phrasing. Crafting, dumping it in the Forge, whatever. You take 4 things and you combine them somehow, getting a new thing. Also no thank you, I’d like a title for the one I’ve already made. I don’t want one of the new ones.

Firstly, let’s address your tone. Your posts are full of unwarranted pseudo-superiority that is immensely off putting for people to give honest opinions. Step off your high horse.

Secondly, why does a title matter? Crafting a legendary is for the aesthetic appeal of the legendary itself, not an arbitrary title. I personally crafted my own legendaries (notice the plural form) but I couldn’t care less for a title to make myself feel like a special snowflake. Why does the fact that we crafted our legendaries make us better than people who bought them? They had to invest other resources (real currency as an example) in order to obtain the legendary, so why shouldn’t that be recognised as well?

Kiss the chaos.

The reward for making a legendary is the legendary.

It doesn’t matter whether you farmed items and made it or farmed gold and bought it, both take a huge amount of effort. And if you’re referring to the option of buying gold with real money (which I suspect very, very few people actually do), your reward for not doing that is that you haven’t spent over 100 dollars/pounds/euros on a virtual weapon that’s slightly fancier than ones you can get for free and can spend it on something more worthwhile instead.

“Um it doesn’t matter that you crafted them yourself? Who cares. Bee-tee-dubz I made multiples, just saying. Not trying to brag or anything.”

Anyway, there are titles for dumber things (Honorary Skritt, anyone?), so I still don’t see why there can’t be one for crafting at least one legendary weapon.

Because you get the legendary weapon itself, thus a title is not necessary.
Twice-Told Legend has been added with the wardrobe update back then to compensate for players crafting the same legendary twice (or even more often) in order to get the looks, with the wardrobe upgrade rendering that obsolete.
Also, you either do the collection or you farm the gold, what gives. In the end, the player picks the path of least resistance, the most fun way for them or a mix of both. Some of the collections even give you some small permanent unlocks (Kudzu garden, Juggernaut endless consumable…)

There’s barely any AP collected for actually crafting a legendary, so why would there be a title? They’re easy to make even before precursors became craftable. It’s just time consuming and not challenging.

I really don’t care that there’s no title for crafting a legendary. I made my legendary weapons because I wanted the skins and the stat changing. And, while I crafted mine myself, I really could not care less if other players opted to convert gems into gold and just bought theirs.

People respond to OP’s question with legitimate and friendly responses.
OP aggressively attacks each responder one by one.
OP gains exactly zero people behind his original cause.
OP probably wonders why no one takes him seriously.

The reward for making a legendary is the legendary.

Exactly what I was going to comment. I understand the mentality OP, I’m an achiever and I like getting points and titles just for the sake of having them. But you seem to be getting very worked up over it, just be proud of the weapon you have and find another title to work towards. All legendaries have some sort of affect that people will notice- you’ll still be recognized as having made one.

I’d like to see titles and/or AP for people who craft multiple legends, 5-10+, maybe split into generations.

Like, for someone who has all generation 1 legends, he should have Master Of The Credit Card. And for generation 2 it would be something like Man Is This Guy Patient With Anet.

Please refer to point 1:

Firstly, let’s address your tone. Your posts are full of unwarranted pseudo-superiority that is immensely off putting for people to give honest opinions. Step off your high horse.

The difference with those titles (Magnanimous, Deer Commander etc) is that the title itself is the reward for completing the task. Gaining the legendary weapon is the reward for crafting/buying it, simple as that. Stop feeling so entitled.
Also, the brunt of your initial post seemed to want recognition and differentiation from people who bought their legendaries, a point which you have conveniently ignored thereafter.

Kiss the chaos.

I think the reward is the weapon and the warm feeling you get as you soak up the admiration of your fellow players. Actually, the last bit is a lie. If all the other players are like me you’ll see them staying further away from you than that used to, just to avoid the annoying audio and visual effects.

I suppose I could support a title for crafting one though. How about “I crafted this even though it was cheaper to buy one”?
