I didn’t really like any of them, eventually settled on female ranger. I had created one that looked like an American Indian woman. Dyed red it looked like biker leathers.

There are some civilian clothes I wouldn’t mind having skins of, especially some of the Charr.

since the revenant feels a bit like a sith, i thought why not some sith armor.

Since this is where the stole the idea for more than half the backpieces in the game, we might as well get the armor too.

I agree with many of the posters here:

-more Light armor that looks like actual armor but doesn’t look utterly plain / ugly (like the default glider). Quilted tops can have fancy designs, etc. No skirts or butt-capes for once.

-more Medium Armor that looks like actual armor. Leather armor can be hardened, you know. I’m not sure what all of the “trench coat” styles are supposed to represent but there are way too many. Let’s see something new please. WITH NO SKIRTS!!

-more Heavy armor that doesn’t have skirts.

-no more strange mix/match of different things on different sides of the character. Unless it is a off-one-shoulder evening dress, I don’t understand the point. They just look strange.

-additional headpieces that are more decorative than protective. Most of the time I turn off my helm because I like my character’s hair / face to show.

Swimsuits and “lingerie” style skins are not something I’m interested in. I’m not against them but if votes are counted toward what is worked on first, I’d prefer the items above.

I would love to see some of the Charr concept armor!

Actually I’d LOVE to see Cynn’s armor, even if it is an outfit.

Anet has traditionally positioned themselves with a moderate style.
However, free to play games that have cash sale virtual stores that appear to be performing well have invested in appearance pieces that range from conservative-thematic-unabashedly sexualised.

I can understand from a pg13 rated game where they’d like to stay positioned, but from a sustainability angle it seems more and more free to play models are including the overtly sexual, which considering it is a fantasy environment, most are no more or less revealing than some people you’d see at comicon.

Tera being a prime example of believing that, “The less it covers..the more it protects.”

Ultimately more cosmetic choice would probably lead to more income, but it would probably also be on a slow march to have an option built in to select, “Standard player models” from the community members who don’t care to view near nude male/female appearances.

Like others have mentioned , I would love to see less skirts and more form fitting armor styles especially for medium armor like back in GW1. It probably wouldn’t take too much effort to port them over to gw2 like you did with the krytan set since the meshes and textures are already on hand.

Of all the styles, this one was my fave. Would gladly pay irl monies for it

Try the Apostle skirt. It might be what you’re looking for and now you can get it via WvW or PvP reward tracks.

ALL armor skins should be replicated in light, medium, and heavy categories. I’d pay gems to unlock this feature.

ALL cultural armors should be wearable by any race. I’d pay gems to unlock this feature too.

Yeah I just got my hands on it today…it’s nice and all, but why can’t my female Asura have a fluffy skirt with a bow like the Female human’s Cabalist armor? /sigh What I really want is the Radiant light leggings…every time I preview that one, I have major AP envy. It’s so big and fluffy and pretty!

I really want something like this for my mesmer, well… but maybe without those red clouds…

Yes, more pants and normal looking clothes and armor that looks like armor, not fem-bot stuff. Pirate outfit and khaki cargo shorts, maybe AC dungeon or chef’s outfit, are acceptable. There are probably more but not many.

Less bell-coats, butt-capes and push-ups, too, please.

Are we going to be getting access to this wonderful set? It’s probably one of the nicest ones I’ve seen since the Incarnate set (my favorite) from years ago.

I hope it’s armor. I really really like it, but would also like to mix it with other pieces too. Especially since it looks like the pants are a single piece and the shirt is what the long pieces are attached too.

Almost certainly an outfit, but it ‘s so well put together that I don’t even mind.

Guessing this will be released with the next episode. Just hoping it’s sold on it’s own and not in a 2k gem bundle. It’d also be pretty cool if there was an outfit for each member of Dragon’s Watch. So far we’ve already got Canach in Verdant Executor.

It`s not for me personaly, but I see me incorporating some parts on my characters… but I guess it will be an outfit.

The two Dragon’s Watch ppl got new looks. One is already available in the shop. I’m guessing hers will be next episode (or sometime in between). Can’t wait to see Kasmeer’s (who doesn’t appear to know how to use dye) and Braham’s new looks. Can’t remember is Rox got a new fit as well.
Either way, Destiny’s Edge outfits were all cultural armour and all of Dragon’s Watch (pre-DW naming) had all their gear on the store, so it’s probably going to be a gem purchase.

Actually really love the look of that outfit. Spent a little while in the game just looking at it. Would buy! Hopefully it wouldn’t be on a limited release, however, allowing time to get the funds for it.

I hope the male version will be sexy and at least a little revealing. If it’s another robe, I’ll pass.

The outfit is most likely to be just that… an outfit.
I’m not saying this out of pessimism but observation.
The “coat” doesn’t have a plit in the belt area this means that it is in fact a long coat.

Scholar Armour has its split in the belt-section (mid-section) and any new armour pieces are bound to have this split in a similar location (to prevent horrendous clipping. A.K.A. the reason outfits exist in the first place.).

Unless Marjory has decided to be an Adventure-class profession now, this is bound to be an outfit.

If it’s ever released to the public I’m betting it’s an outfit…. which for once is actually quite a nice one at that albeit I’d prefer armor so we can mix and match.

Yeah, it’ll likely be an outfit. And I’m honestly ok with this entire look being an outfit. For once I’m happy with every piece of it.

The only thing I didn’t like was giving Marjory a hood. A mask or tiara would have been better since I like seeing her hair.

Outside of that, I loved her new look and will get it even if it is an outfit for one of my Necromancers.

Oh, I’m sure there will be a male version. The Canach armor is very different for females — my ’vari Reaper looks like a pink/purple orchid now, all those arching petals.

there’s always a male version. Even Countess Anise/Exemplar outfit has a male variant.

ah, had no idea. See i stopped falling for the outfit money grab. I prefer armour so i can mix it up and not look like everyone else

From what I’ve seen on reddit, male versions have been data mined so the odds are pretty good that it will show up in the gem store.

Hopefully sooner than later.

Could you link that information, Teleoceras? I’ve been googling and can’t find any such comments, but my reddit-foo is weak. (oo not u b/c kittens have to stampede in).
