POLL: Would you like level cap to be raised?
If they raise the level cap, I’m done. This is supposed to be a sequel to Guild Wars, not “World of Guild Wars”. Any more stupid questions?
NO.
I was perfectly fine with the lvl 20 cap in GW1, because (at least in the expansions) you leveled while you were still learning the game and your class, but didn’t have to hunt for arbitrary numbers after that. I don’t need more levels (or stronger equipment) to feel like I progressed – just give me interesting content and I’ll be just fine.
No.
I wish they would get rid of levels all together.
NO
I don’t see a need for a level increase, ever.
All that development time and money spent on new levels, scaling, gear etc. can be better spent on what we already have – expanding on it, adding to it. But an increase? Completely unnecessary.
Oh, they could add fishing though :p
I would prefer the game introduced new PVE only skills that can put all these skill points to use. And introduce new content that requires thoughtfully building synergy between PVE only skills and regular skills to tackle the new content.

No.
I think 80 is fine already. Any more and it just gets daunting for newer players. Easy or not. When someone new sees the max level is 90 – 100 they tend to go the other way. I’d rather keep the level range as is and get new level 80 content.
Have nothing against potentially new skills/weapons/classes though. I’d take all that over levels.
No. Never. Please no.
NO
I see no real need for it and many reasons not to.
NO

I laughed harder at this than I should have.
Edit: Oh yeah, NO.
Only if they implement sPvP level/gearing in WvW. Then why not, give the scrubs all the grind and progression they want.
NO to raising the level cap. And NO to vertical progression. It is a cheap fix to the problem of progression and it costs more in the long-term. Besides, I came from WoW to escape the grind. They did give me a wonderful almost three months of relief.
NO.
Level 80 is more than enough, just bring in more End Game content to-do for higher levels and we good enough.
No. I want more horizontal progression in terms of more weapon skills either by expanding the number of weapons each class can wield or by introducing a deck building aspect to weapon skills allowing us to pick and choose weapon skills.

YES.
80 is a dumb choice. I want 100.
Wouldn’t cause any problem, with downscaling. Lvl 80 people already play dungeons like Ascalon Catacombs ; it’s level 30 and they don’t even notice the difference.
YES! I want my level to be in accordance with how many times I’ve actually leveled (gained skill points) you can stop stat progression at 80-100-120 w/e it don’t matter to me, but I would like to know my actual level. That would be epic!
No, the level cap of 80 is fine.
Good ghod, NO. Increasing numbers for the sake of increasing numbers is pointless.
NO
Not raising the lvl cap will motivate me to lvl more characters as they will always be max lvl which equals more gameplay.
To me, GW2 is all about the great out doors and i will always go finish a new zone just for the sake of it.
There is no need to add more lvls as the game rebalances your lvls anyway.
I’d like for Orr to always remain a completely viable endgame zone, plus, more lvl 80 zones equals to more hard gameplay which i love.
No! New content will be gated towards only high level players.
No. I wouldn’t mind extra quests for more trait points though

I feel 80 is enough, especially with the scaling. No such things as getting stronger to complete a lower level event. What I want is more versatility with the traits, utility, and weapon skills.
No. Heck No! Kittens No!

Veeery interesting. I think that would work in PVE at some point in the future.
Is similar to this…

No.
If anything, add more skills. Interesting and fun ones.
It’s been 5 months since the game has been released.
New expansion is proably just around the corner and so I think it’s a good idea to let ANet know what we want and what we don’t want to see in it.So here is the question I would like to ask:
WOULD YOU LIKE LEVEL CAP TO BE RAISED (with the new expansion of course)? Or would you prefer it to stay as it is right now?
Please answer YES or NO (preferably in caps) and if you want to add justification (which is highly desired)
just make sure to leave 1 line space in between (to make it as clear as possible). If anyone know if it’s possible to add a poll on those forums, I’d be much grateful for such information.
dude you need to read some of the Anet posts. The Level Cap has a potential to be raised in later Expansions. Only the paid expansions when they come out have the potential of being raised lvl cap. I am too lazy to go find that post.

Mess with the best, die like the rest.
Talk to me in a year and I’ll see how I feel.
Far to early for this kind of talk.
No, the game has enough grind already.
No. I’d rather see more 80 content, going to 90 or 100 would just make some of the old content obsolete.
For the person who said he/she likes leveling: 1) You still level when you’re 80 2) make an alt.
NO
The day the level cap increases is the day I make a QQ thread about quitting (that then gets deleted) and I give all my stuff to some random noob in Queensdale.

I’m not interested in it being raised any time soon.
In the far future if I’m sitting around doing nothing, yeah could go for it.
I would like something somewhere in between what gw2 has going and what wow has going as far as progression goes.
Like 6 months after I’m bored with gw2, “we’re raising the level cap! get some new stuff!” Could go for that.
NO
Twenty levels would have been fine, 80 levels is just bearable, any more will just turn the game into another never-ending struggle to remain at peak performance. I would rather see more variety of content added in expansions, not more content that requires me to reequip and go through the whole levelling process again. Guild Wars had three expansions without the need to raise the level cap, Guild Wars 2 should follow this winning strategy.
ANET HAS ALREADY STATED THEY DESIGNED GW2 TO BE ABLE TO ADD MORE LEVELS IN FUTURE EXPANSIONS.
Personally, I’d say no, but it seems it is already in the cards.
Critical Impact [Crit]
YES.
I mean, we know the level cap will be raised eventually. While I hope we get at least another 6-12 months of our current level cap at least, I could do a lot of fun things with another 5 or 10 trait points. Plus, leveling is incredibly easy.
No
Already done 725 levels across 10 characters to get them where I want them. That’s too much as is.
nope. 80 is what it is now and forever.
Gw1 was capped at lvl 20 and that never changed.
Wow, gotta say all the “No” votes surprise me. Also that I agree. I miss the way GW1 was where level cap was low and the entire game was meant to be done at max level.
Answer, NO.

Don’t be so sure. Gw1 is STILL level 20 and that’s been around for years.

Aww jeez, really?! Guff. =(
No. 80 is more than enough.
Nope, keep it at 80

No reason they can’t add content without raising the level cap; they did it in GW1 with a much lower cap than 80. All raising it does is require people to upgrade their gear again, if they want to participate in the new max-level content.
EDIT: Actually, I’d like this too, I just don’t really see it as a ‘level increase.’ I just think it would be neat to know, even if the information wasn’t visible to other players. In fact, it might be preferable if it wasn’t.

Keeping it at level 80 is perfectly fine, however they need to bring more skills to the game like what they did back in GW1 so you’ll still get the sense of progression even once you’ve hit the level cap.
It doesn’t really matter…they may as well make it unlimited because that is exactly what it is since this game has level scaling. The level scaling needs to be removed completely. The whole concept of level adjustment in general makes ANY level caps irrelevant or leveling in general. There are absolutely no distinguishing characteristics (power wise) in this game whether you are level 1 or 80. This game would be perfect if this system would be eliminated.

NO.. People.. stop posting a about this.
There is absolutely no point to level over 80 other than the fact that you are over 80. You still gain skill points etc. so it seems really pointless. Unless there is a branched class upgrade at like lvl 90 or something, it is completely pointless.
No.
I’m happy to have 1 character at terminal gear (BiS in all slots), one more within 1 slot of it, and puttering around to get and ascended amulet as soon as its possible to have one.
When I have the urge to level, I play an alt.
I’d be happy to see a new campaign and a seperate leveling path introduced, but I’d still be happy for the finish line for that prodcut to be 80 also.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”
