Yes, but now the SAB based achievements are showing up in the API under festivals (I had to check it out on gw2 efficiency just to see for myself)

All weapon skins will be replaced by placards that say ‘SAB or riot’

Access to SAB world 3. But when you enter the door, it kicks you out and then into Rata Sum’s HoT museum gallery of extinct legendary weapons that we have to stand 20 feet away to get a small view of.

Everyone gets transformed into Tengu for the day.

When the inevitable SAB or Riot protest starts, there will be actual enemy rioters. The only line of dialog they will have is “We attacked the Mother Tree! We can attack anywhere!”

Everyone got a free legendary if you log in this morning, ended a few hours ago. Too bad you missed out on it.

Hahaha. I meant their April Fools joke, not yours.

It’s not April 1st yet.

But Sab is in the game, so there that.

It is actually April 1st going by server time, which is UTC. Previous jokes have started at midnight UTC, along with daily reset.

They’ve either changed that for this year for some reason, have no joke, or something bugged and it didn’t actually start.

Well, maybe tomorrow since they put Sab in today.

Of course, it’s always possible that those…..individuals who threw such a major fit last year and made ANet apologize to them put ANet off of April fools jokes.

I hope there is something, I’ve been looking forward to the zaniness. I’m sort of hanging around in game in non-instanced areas now in hopes that I’ll see the start of it, though since nothing happened at reset I’m thinking it might be more like midnight ANet time which is 3 am for me so I’ll miss it anyway.

Or possibly at the more expected patch time of around 9 am ANet time tomorrow? There’s no telling at this point.

That may be ANet’s way of bypassing April fools and possible future controversy.

Well, the day is young. I was just on and I admit I was surprised not to find anything…at least, nothing immediately noticeable.

But maybe the others are right…maybe Anet got tired of the complainers (God knows the rest of us are) and decided the SAB festival is the best solution.

We shall see.

I’d understand if they did nothing after the community raged over last years april fools.

Im sad that theres no April Fools sillyness. being able to let your hair down and be goofy once a year is priceless. bummer on anet for not doing it

It’s not quite 9 am at ANet. Often things change over (at least in the gem store) at 9 am their time. So I’ll hang out a little longer to see if anything fun happens and if not, well, Sky Saga can entertain me for the day.

I am sad, though, to think they likely won’t prank us. I really loved bobbleheads and aviators. I was looking forward to the silliness today. As to SAB, I’ll probably go in, but I didn’t really bother with it the second time it was here so I don’t see it holding me — it’s something far more fun with friends.

I am disappointed. Yes listening to players can be a good thing. Killing off things that are fun because of whinge is not.

Totally! I’m surprised this isn’t an annual piece of apparel like the various Windersday and Halloween items.

Probably. If if it is you can probably also thank all the people last year that had a major hissy fit on the forums and made ANet go and apologize to them for making an April fools joke that they decided to be triggered by.
