Could another wipe be done after the stress test too? Some people are having difficulties changing servers by deleting all of their characters and it’s being theorized that the beta characters are counting against them which they have no way of deleting.

there should be np with beta characters an main characters. anet know what is going on when testing. i am looking forward to this event this thursday thanks for the heads up

When will you guys release your balance changes for the new elite specs? We haven’t had as many beta weekends for PoF as HoT did for it’s launch.

For creating new demo characters, would we need to go through the story instance again to get the mount? Just curious.

Will it be old PoF elites from 2 tests or improved ones?

This could be the case alright, my two demo characters show up on gw2efficiency.com. I’d suggest to delete them yourself after the stress test but you might not have time if it ends abruptly.

I think the problem is there’s nothing new, so many players won’t join the stress test. Maybe it’d be better, for example, to show the whole new map so people want to see the rest of it and want to join your stress test more likely.

There were nearly no players from EU last test. This can’t be your goal.

I can’t imagine a scenario where they’d struggle to get enough players to login for a stress test on unreleased content or where players were already bored of it. Players will happily login for just a couple of hours just to mess around and try out an elite they previously hadn’t or just wander around on a mount.

This test appears to be more time suitable for the EU players, so I think that will resolve the problem there too (although we have zero idea how many EU players played last time)

Well, firstly, you don’t know how many people there were from EU, it was quite late at night but at best you can say that your particular megaserver instance didn’t seem to be that heavily populated.

Secondly, they are probably more interested in stress testing the server instances to see how they hold up under stresses of new character and mount abilities. So all they really need is a handful of megaserver instances. You don’t need tens of thousands of players for that. Just a few hundred. They will probably still have thousands.

My feeling is this wasn’t to test server capacity. More likely to make sure the new code behaves itself when applied to the greater game. You shouldn’t need many players to do that.

It would be great to be able to test any changes on the elite specs as well. Ofc, that should be complemented with a brief changelog.

Anet will u have the New build in this stress test ? Since clearly last time u said u had an old Build where balance had happened that wasnt in this build, will we have an updated version this time ? If ppl are dissapointed there class bin guted or not altered. For some of us the Elite Spez is all we care about in regards to the Expac (yes we do exist).

We changed the time to better accommodate a larger number of players, but two hours is optimal for the developers.

5 pm bst is 12 pm est 9 am pacific. If you are in the US live or work then this is not accessible. I understand that the developers are physically monitoring the event, however, I am not sure why not open it for 10 hours, it gives devs more time to analyze and players more time test.

Ah, that’s a shame. Exactly the time I’ll be going to bed so I can get up in time to go to work in the evening. The downside to working graveyards.

Oh well, just a stress test. Not like I’m missing out on anything groundbreaking.

This is the second stress test I am going to miss because of work and I am wonderfully sad and jealous. Pound it hard you lucky players!

I have inquired about whether we are including updated elite specs. I do not anticipate that we will be posting a changelog for a stress test. I will update when I know more.

Please make a single thread/post as you did before the last stress test on what you have included in the stress test.

first you ppl do it when ppl go to bed and then do it at the time ppl are not even home, good timing Anet -_-
