Anet added a Buried Locked Chests from Dry Top in home instance.
My current issue is as I play in Silverwaste; I find piles of silky sands which reward from time to time zephyrite lock.
Problem is Dry top chest are only avalaible during 15 minutes every 45 minutes.
So I always miss them.
Now I find myself with a growing stack of zephyrite lock; so please add the possibility to obtain the Buried Locked Chests from Dry Top in home instance.

I presume you mean the Buried Locked Chests from Dry Top as opposed to the Bandit Locked Chests from the Silverwastes?

If so, I agree that there should have been some method of acquiring one for the home instance (especially as it was available for the Silverwaste-specific chest) as I too have more zephyrite keys than I can manage.

Although, I can’t help but feel it is too late, as the content production for Dry Top has reached its end (as far as I know, I doubt they will be expanding that map again) so the possibility of having something newly introduced that is a reward from it seems unlikely, but not impossible.

One can hope.

I wouldn’t mind if it were a single chest that you could open with either bandit keys or zephyr picks, with the loot being a random combination of what you could find from either type of chest.

The limited time frame to find Dry Top chests doesn’t match how quickly I obtain these keys. I would love to have a chest that uses them in my home instance.

it’s 20 minutes every hour that you can go to Dry Top. at :40 after the hour every hour.

I wait until I have about 20-40 of the zephyrite lockpicks then pop into dry top to chest hunt. I can usually find 12-18 buried chests during those 20 minutes. It helps to know the possible spawn locations and be able to traverse quickly over the zone. I don’t do the events during the sandstorm when I’m purely chest hunting as that takes up too much time when my purpose is to unload my keys. I’m usually done with the entire zone with 4-5 minutes left in the sandstorm so I mine quartz while I’m there and pick up the ancient wood and ori I find along the way.

I don’t see a need to have this chest in my home instance.

Just Play some Dry top. You’ll use a handful of keys every sandstorm, and the sandstorm is very predictable when it arrives.

The point of asking for the chest is to avoid Dry Top. That zone is a clusterkitten and navigating it is one of the most un-fun things in the game. Waiting for those chests to even be available is yet another terrible design decision for the zone.

I wouldn’t even have to worry about going to Dry Top if Silverwastes loot would stop dropping the ruddy keys. -_-

You’d likely have to go TO dry top to get said unlock. So…. in your case, you might as well trash the keys
