1. Add a toggle that removed white flashes when a target is hit
2. Add a toggle to move/minimize/remove the damage numbers that pop up after you hit something
3. Remove outlines around enemies
4. Allow players to zoom in closer

I say this because I loved the guild chat about creature animations, and they looked so good in the devs showcase, and I want to be able to experience the same view that they had.

5. If this can’t be accomplished, add region specific zoo’s that provide a close up look at the creatures, and their animations. I’d also like to see region specific shops that display their weapon and clothing options on manikins, but that’s another discussion entirely

No comment on the rest of your post except that it’s highly unlikely to happen, but regarding the zoom distance how close do you want to get?

The screenshots below shows the closest I can get (on a max height norn, min height asura and medium height sylvari, same camera settings for all 3) and I think that’s pretty close, I can’t imagine it’d be practical to play at that distance because your character would be blocking a large part of the screen and even for screen shots it’s too close because apart from the asura their feet are off the screen.

I don’t think any ascetics are playing GW2…

Agreed about the zoom though.

I find the aesthetics of having a red or green outline around everyone especially annoying. It’s also a little insulting, as if ANet didn’t think that we can figure out friends from enemies without that feature.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Outlines come with post-processing effects, switch them off in graphics options. Allow first person zoom in is also in options.

except in areas with tons of enemy mobs that are the same type of mobs are the people in your party… you really can’t.

also @OP it’s spelled aesthetics.

I’ve had it turned off as I found it annoying. I’m certainly never missed it or felt the need for it. I’ve never been confused as to which mobs are friendly, neutral or hostile.

sorry, auto-correct screwed me… I fixed it though

Also, I want to be able to zoom in one more space, probably half the distance that you can currently zoom in.
