Post a pic of your character only if your armor is mix-n-match
My Sylvari Warrior
Head: CoE
Chest: CoE
Shoulders: Radiant
Hands: Radiant
Legs: HOTW
Feet: Vigil
Dyes: Sapphire/Icing Not very good with dying armors thinking about going a midnight ice/ocean mix with some illumination thrown in on this gear at somepoint.
The radiant shoulders/hands mixed with Bolt/Corrupted shield and fully upgraded fractal backpiece make for one Skritt approved Shiny character.
Here’s my Sylvari, Findalas :
Wow, I think that’s the first non-cultural armor setup that I’ve actually liked on a sylvari, it looks great, nice job.

Thank you! I might change the gloves and shoulders at some point, but for now i really like her
And thanks Anet for the new medium pants/boots, they’re awesome
I’ve been told this is a very stereotypical and overused look for a thief, and I’m ok with that; though nowadays I see more medium armor users flossing full cultural T3 human sets and very rarely see even a full duelist set anymore (I’m assuming perhaps everyone had it during the first 6 months or so and moved on to more unique looking armor combinations?). I personally think the theme looks more like a “ninja”, than a “thief”, but in GW2, the two are one and the same I guess…

I’ve spent a lot of time on my warrior’s current set. A screenshot is in the attachments.
I’m no fan of spikes and all that stuff, hence the “no over-the-top nonse” line. I avoid those like the plague. The only exception is when I just got my Armageddon armor, and just haven’t gotten around transmuting yet. (Form over function? Never.)
As for constructing the set, I had a few things I wanted to achieve:
- Guild chestpiece
- Sufficient contrast between emblem and the cloth
- Nothing too shiny (as if I walked through a car wash) – ‘battered’ or ‘worn’ materials.
- Still achieving a sort of noble, ‘veteran’ or powerful feel.
In the end, I used the following skins:
- Severed Breached Helm from a Fireheart Rise heart-quest vendor. Dye: Shale
- Human Tier 3 Shoulders. Dye: Shale, Redemption(from top)
- Guild Heavy Armor. Dye: Shale, Redemption, Shale (clockwise from top).
- Reinforced Scale Gauntlets (there are different skins sharing this name). Dye: Shale, Cashmere, Shale (clockwise from top).
- Fur of Koda (HotW leg piece). Dye: Shale, Redemption, Shale (clockwise from top).
- Human Tier 3 Boots. Dye: Shale.
I started with the Guild Heavy Armor as base my base. Secondly, I picked the shoulders (which needed to be broad, yet fairly ‘normal’) and boots (no-nonsense). I moved on by deciding on the leg piece. The HotW pants are the only ones with a sort of skirt, making the character look broader and more impressive, therefore an easy choice. The gloves were picked because they contain the same scales as the chest piece has.
The great thing about this set is that the dyes are so easy to change. The cloth, that’s currently “redemption”/orange, can easily be replaced with something dark blue (iron), something white or another bright color. All the shale fields can easily be replaced by another dye for the metal bits. Right now I went with orange to make it fit with the guild emblem. I tried blue (orange’s complementary color) but I couldn’t find a bright dye that worked.
I used Argos Soft’s armor gallery to see all available skins. I highly recommend it.
Any questions, just let me know

Stormbluff Isle ~ Knights Templar
I don’t understand this thread since most people don’t get any feedback on their characters. The rate thread is more entertaining naturally. Anyway here is a nice catch I bumped into with my emo necromancer pop star.
I’d have preferred if it was the other end honestly.
Here’s my necromancer and my guardian. I just put on whatever I think looks nice. Not adhered to social norms that necromancers have got to be dark, green, fiendish.
What’s on my necromancer -
1. Helm – Not showing.
2. Shoulders – T3 Human cultural
3. Chest – TA
4. Gloves – Masterwork crafted, called mending wraps.
5. Legs – COE
6. Boots – COFWhat’s on my guardian -
1. Helm – Vigil
2. Shoulders – Vigil
3. Chest – COE
4. Gloves – Vigil
5. Legs – COE
6. Boots – Vigil
An updated screenshot of my necro…. Still trying to find a suitable backpiece and headpiece.

Wish there were some heavy armor boots that weren’t knee-high. I originally made this character so I could have the Oaken Helm. I originally ran a Charr Guardian, but I love this character now! Except for the boots. Need different boots… =3
Not sure if I posted my character here yet……….anyways it’s video because I never like how simple screen shots turn out on her
my assassin mesmer

Here are some of my toons but not all of them
1). Human Guardian based of a Warrior Priest of Sigmar. He wears 2 pieces of Cultural armor, HotW shoulders and leggings, and then some low level boots.
2). Norn Guardian with a mix of the Cultural tier 1 and 2 sets. I rarely make female toons :P
3). Human warrior with 2 sets of armor. His first set is a mixture of the Order armors. His second set is based off an Empire Greatsword is a complete mix up of various low and high level gear.
4). Sylvari Thief wears a mixture of Order armors.
5). Charr Mesmer wears a mixture mid and high level gear.
6). Human Elementalist with 2 sets of armor is based off an Imperial Bright Wizard. His first set is a mixture of Order armors. His second set wear a mixture of Dungeon armors and Whispers leggings.
Last pic is my Human Guardian looking awesome at the peak of Mount Maelstrom :P If you can’t tell I’m a Warhammer fan. I’m also working on a Norn Chaos Knight!
Here’s an elementalist I made just for the heck of it… She isn’t even fully leveled!
…
I’m very impatient…
My necro, without a skirt!
Skull Masque
(no shoulders)
Vigil Garb
Feathered Gloves
Ascalonian Pants
Shadow Shoes
The first is my main, a male Elementalist named Prometheus Rook. I wanted his outfit to be a noble, sophisticated uniform with no robe or dress parts. To achieve this, I combined Phoenix Shoulders, Chest, and Boots with Aetherblade Leggings and CoF gloves.
His wife, Pandorra Rook, is a tribal beauty of a Mesmer. Her look combines a variety of cheap parts: Feathered Helm, Dry Bones Chest, Embroidered Gloves, Vigil leggings, and CM boots.
My kitten sexy Human Warrior:
Helmet: Vigil
Shoulders: Brahams
Chest: Brahams
Legplates: Craftable lvl 70
Boots: Brahams
Bracers: Brahams
Colours: Silver, Black and Scarlet (Because Scarlett Johansson is kitten hot)
my mesmer in mixed armors
I like it. You had a clear theme you wanted to go with, and mixed a bunch of wildly different armor pieces to create something coherent and beautiful. Kind of like a feathery dancer’s attire.
I set out to make some really kitteny armor… /cough. I don’t actually have this yet, but… here are the results of my experimenting~
My extraordinary piece of art! like it if you think the armor mix looks like a samurai/ronin
here we have…
Medium armor
Chest: Tier 1 Human
Gloves: Tier 3 Human
Head: Conquest
Shoulder: Invader
Legs: Tier 2
Boots: honed Leather shoesKinda going for a half pirate/half zorro kinda look I guess. Reminds me of the guy in the princess bride :P
P.S. LOOK I CAN SEE BOTH OF MY LEGS!
now you need Bonetti’s Rapier and spark or a usoku’s needle and you’re good to go!
