Mine isn’t very mix and match, but Chi wears T2 armour with T3 shoulders (Uniform worn by some Iron legion soldiers including Adamant guard) ,and guild backpack. Sometimes a gas mask too.

Chi’s patrol uniform is a bit more mix and match though; it uses a pitfighters chest piece as the straps for the engineer’s tool pack.

Reeva’s armour mixture isn’t even my own ‘design’; it’s exactly what the Reeva NPC wears.

My norn warrior

After multiple salvages, accidental transmutations, and too many gems spent on transmutation crystals, I have my elementalist’s semi soldier’s set.

Also, I think it would be a nice idea to introduce a simple “rate the people above you” thing, that makes people who post just so much more (in most cases) appreciated and turns this into a bit of fun beyond “Post pic and bai!”

That said, I’ll start with Dante:

Dante, I love the modern look of it. The dyes aren’t my thing but they fit the hair well! And the shirt is just a lifesaver in any light look nowadays! 7.5/10, could be a 9 for me with dyes I (personally only) prefer more.

And Manifest: Naiiis. Love it. I am imagining it looks not -quite- as perfect during daytime due to your sword, but this is pretty much a 9.5/10. I usually dislike male Norn looks.

Well i’ll start the rating then: 9/10, cool look. Don’t know why but if you remove the mask, and armor pieces I kinda see Miranda from Mass Effect lol.

I’ve been toying with the idea of giving my new necro a classic Black Knight look. Either that, or a tribal one. I was showing them to a friend today x). It’s tough to preview outfits without being able to dye each piece properly..

Recently updated my Thief with what will probably be her main look from now on. Still trying to find medium shoes that I like, or fit better with the set though.

Elana, that looks fantastic. Someone would actually wear that, imo (though the shoulder knives are a tad silly, but what are ya gonna do?).

For boots take a look at Outlaw or the ones you can get at, say, the heart in the little trading post south of the Shaemoor Garrison. Simple, close fitting knee high leather boots (only one dye slot). Practical, in other words.

Thanks Donari! I’ll give those two boots a try. Hopefully their dye colors will match my current armor (so frustrating when the same dye looks completely different on different armor; makes matching even more of a challenge).

Haha, yeah the knives aren’t the best, but they’re the only shoulder piece that doesn’t clip horribly with the top part of the gloves (other than the one that’s a set with the gloves). Plus, I like to think of my thief as having extra knives/daggers, cause y’know, you can never have too many weapons to fling at enemies. :P

My idea behind this armor set was to make a “duelist” type outfit for my thief. As most people agree, there are too many overcoats and dustmasks and not enough interesting stuff. I don’t really use much stealth on my thief, so I figured it would make sense to give him gear that looks like it would actually offer some protection. This is about as “heavy” as medium armor gets, with a lot of metal plates instead of leather and a full facemask instead of a lame bandanna.

I have a Warrior, Elementalist, and Thief that all wear unique mixed outfits. I enjoy taking time to discover 6 unique pieces of armor that hold strong synergy once mixed together. It is fun to help players seeking unique designs to define their own characters in a more personal enjoyment sense.

It was nice seeing the outfit mixes people have shown in this thread.

After having and deleting Charr characters (medium and light wearing), and having and deleting Guardian characters (human and sylvari) , I finally found a way to enjoy both Charr and Guardian…a Charrdian. So now I finally have a Charr character and a Guardian character once again. It seems Charr only have decent and appropriate armor for the species with minimal clipping issues when wearing heavy armor. :\

This would be my necromancer. I am very fond of him.

Any suggestions for a good looking medium armor hood?

Very mixed… four different sets, combined for a rather unique look:

Here is my ranger. I quite like her, she’s pretty unique and beautiful (even if I say so myself) and I haven’t seen anyone with the same look. I really like the bull (or whatever that is) on her shoulder, it’s not very visible here but it kinda looks like it’s part of the flower. And also, she is wearing shorts, they are just… very short x) I hope it doesn’t look too skimpy, but I figured that since she’s otherwise covered it’s okay to show some skin.

Anyway, I would love to hear some feedback

The only true hood is from thief starter armor. You can make a thief and transmute the hood onto a white item for your norn there to pick up.

The CoE dungeon helm is a ninja-ish hood as is the Duelist hat available on TP. With a small amount of WvW badges you can buy the Lionguard Tricorn in your server borderlands at the vendor near port in. The Order of Whispers hood might suit you too. If you’re not in Whispers, you need an alt in it who can buy the hood and do the transmute trick mentioned above.

My Mesmer….this is her Toughness armor…….took me months to get the right mix of armor n thank goodness I dont have to buy a dye each time I change back and forth. At first I tot 2 colors are only required and more color than that is too confusing . But after getting new dyes now and then and trying out colors again and again.i finally got the 4 color combination armor that I love!……am satisfied with her toughness armor look now…finally~Mix and matching is hard work but it’s so customise and personalize it brings me closer to my toons…
