The base metal colour is Charred – brings out the detail on the metal plates and sections
The alternate metal colour is Brass – matches the brass tones of the Predator
The bodysuit colour is Abyss – Wanted a very luxurious looking black leather look to the body suit
The glow colour and visor are coloured Amber – to fit with the glow of the Predator and its aura

The shoulder piece looks okay on the current configuration – it adds a bit to the steampunk look I was going for. While I’m not a fan of that giant cog there, I do like how the rest of the piece looks. Would’ve been great if that cog was animated in some way! I am keeping an eye out for any other steampunk-y shoulder, that I could use as a viable replacement

I love steampunk, your character looks awesome!
I really like how GW2 subtly blends the steampunk with traditional fantasy, making such characters entirely lore-appropriate!

If you’re looking for a replacement shoulder, try the Watchwork ones, I think that with the right dyes, those might work with the overal sleek-but-mechanical look you went for.

This is my favorite thread and love all the unique looks people have created.

Here’s some screenies of my Sylvari Mesmer, Lusnatuis.

My mes was previously wearing full T2 Cultural. But now that the T2 Sylvari light armor set is far more popular now than it was when I originally bought it, I wanted to go for something a bit more unique and this thread inspired me to give mix-and-match a try. I’m incredibly pleased with the look and hope folks like!

Head: Orchid (Cultural T2)
Shoulders: Dryad (Cultural T3)
Chest: Nightmare (Twilight Arbor)
Hands: Nightmare (Twilight Arbor)
Legs: Dryad (Cultural T3)
Feet: Orchid (Cultural T2)

Primary Dyes: Vincent, Cyanide, Midnight Ice (for the secondary dye channel on the Chest…only way to match the Vincent/Cyanide mix on the leggings). Boots dyed Midnight Sky for a more subtle, woody look. Gloves dyed Pastel Purple to match skin.

Weapons: Whisperblade/Dreamthistle Focus, Bifrost

Somehow missed this thread. Think I’m done with the look now. Apologies for the lighting – need to find somewhere else to take some screenshots.

Dyes are indigo, redemption and antique gold. Student pants, vigil chest/legs/gloves, temple mask, exalted shoulders.

The gas mask skin was just what I needed to complete the effect! Now I’m just looking out to see if a better (more appropriate) shoulder skin comes along

Recently revamped Guardian with the Gemstore “flame” armor coat and a couple examples of rocking some low tier pieces .

i’ve been using the generic right side armor pretty much since start up
the left side was a recent attempt at getting a heavy armor look

My Guardian and Warrior both in their WvW Outfits (and lol Towncloth).

It’s actually really hard to find decent looking heavy armor for Asura and I still need the Arah pants to make it complete. Need someone to run Arah with :c

My main (Guardian). Primeval (head), T3 Norn (Shoulders, Chest), Radiant (Gaunlets), Arah (Legs), Armageddon, or whatever the name is for heavy karma armor (Legs). All I’m missing is Juggernaut, instead of Enthropy. And maybe change the T3 shoulders with Radiant, though I really like T3 shoulders so I might not change it. Gotta love Zodiac Staff though, simply the best!

I think you win title of BEST LOOKING CHARACTER IN GAME. Hands down my favorite look. I’m truly jealous and if I was the copying type I would copy this in a heartbeat.

Thanks! I already tried previewing with the Watchwork Shoulder piece, that we got tonnes of during the Queen’s Jubilee. Unforunately, the metal it used didn’t match the rest of the armours’ metal, and it also left one shoulder entirely bear (which didn’t look right, to me). COME ARENANET! MORE STEAMPUNK / TECH GEAR! xD

Here is my mesmer, got this set of armor about a week ago and im pretty happy with it.
Goes well with Kasmeer’s staff and dual rapiers.

Armor is mostly the WvW armor (invaders) with the guardian starting pauldrons, Radiant Vambraces, and hidden helm.

Colors are Abyss and White Gold, with silver used on the insignia on the pauldrons to make it look white.

Main weapon is Theodosus’s Claymore.

I would assume:

1. Banded pauldrons
2. Primeval gauntlets (500 gems)
3. Primeval boots (see above)
4. Orrian legguards (costs 300 tokens)
5. Dark chest (obtained through karma or badges of honor, I would recommend badges of honor since you don’t need to transmute)

My Asura Mesmer, i really hated the whole dress thing for him. So i made him look more like some kind of melee guy, almost looks like he’s out of the final fantasy universe heh.

Hmm, good thing my current 80’s all have mix and match right? Let’s see….. necro, thief guard…and why is this spot in DR such a great place for pictures?
I tried being unique with them all, I really did. I acknowledge my necro’s chest and legs are a popular combo but it looks so nice. I have seen zero sylvari with my thief armor combination but she normally wears the subterfuge hood, I just thought her hair should show for this pic. The guardian uses karma armor and T3 with radiant gauntlets and windcatcher….actually the karma armor got the flame added to it so picture it with flames now. Let me know what you think!
