What you guys are just now figuring out the end game and entire point of GW2 is to press F? Sheesh, I thought this was common knowledge right now!

Anyone notice this trend? Everytime there is a new piece of achievement to be had, it’s something like
“press F on X 100 times to win!”
or
“press F to win”
How about real gameplay design? Something more than press F to win?
Sometimes, not everything has to be earned through challenges but patience, endurance and hardship which are as equally important.

The game…as in have the highest score. Or you can be like me and try to get the most kills of anyone on your team (which might not be fun for everyone but it is fun for me).
What exactly is the criticism here? That ANet went overboard in their quest to make the interface easy to use?
If different actions like looting, gathering, hitting pinatas and opening chests had separate keys bound to them (FGHJKL) what difference would that make?
Or is the criticisim that the actions themselves are too easy to perform, with one click of any button? In that case, do you really think it necessary to include a complex ritual to do something trivial like loot, gather, or open a box?
There are actions in game with more complex mechanics: mini-games, jumping puzzles, boss fights (I’m thinking of Canach here), etc.

They nerfed endurance in the last patch and patience didn’t do enough PVE damage unless you are using it on the warrior class.

also there’s a ton of elements left out like dual spec, outfitter, buttons for minis and boons foods, a LFG tool even for the open world event system, a map that shows us events in the zone we’re in without being 5 feet from those events.
Good god yes. Pinatas are somewhat ok as you can hit 4-5 of them each time you go to LA and get rid of that achievement in one month without actually grinding them.
But adding effigies on top of that ? Kitten it ! Boring content is boring.
Just ignore the effigies. Not like you need them to get the wings.

Number Pad 0 for me. After years of playing UT2004 etc. with the arrow keys I continue to use them. Never got into the whole WASD thing.

I think it is sort of funny. It is like the event designer looked at the antigrinding video of them saying,they dont want you to swing your sword. Then go swing your sword again. And hey go swing your sword again. And he said wait! That sounds like fun. But we promised we wouldnt swing the sword, so what to do…. What to do…. I know! F is suckas!

Lol can’t believe what i’m hearing here. Here when i’m playing other games i’m cursing them for having such a crappy auto loot system and wish it was MORE like gw2 and then we have a guy who expects anet to pick up loot for them and spamming F just isn’t good enough. Maybe we should go back to the old permanent loot bag drag to inventory system for you kids to appreciate what you have. Sure we could use a lot of other “luxury” type items but we are already very fortunate. The lfg tool is coming just delayed a bit.

I got all the achievements on the Southsun event recently, and would like to get them all on Dragon Bash too. I got time, no hurry, but, I do admit, achievements like smash 150 pinatas are really boring. Specially when you need to change characters and such.
Maybe could have thought of something else? Or less achievements? Dragon ball ones are okay, its fun to play that.
Just agree, that those “F” achievements are not fun.. But got to get them all.

I replaced all my keys with F keys, now I can’t lose.
What I ever wanted is key to equips. I hate to open my inventory every time to change my equips. (Mainly tinkets that I have to open the Hero Painel and click-move to the 2nd slot manually).
