QoL: 'Stampede' sound effects & 'zergs'
Heard it in FF14, and it came across as just plain silly. With the particle effects and everything else going on, the game doesn’t really need more distractions.
Also, if you get slammed into by the zergtrain railroad, you kinda had it coming. =P
I know I did, and it was hilarious. It reminded me of my days as a larp NPC. XD

Yeah I don’t find it particularly hilarious whatsoever. I’m not entirely sure where particle effects come into it, since it’s purely audio.
They do have it in Final Fantasy XIV and it’s great really, only there it has no actual purpose. In a game with large scale fights and huge groups of people moving together it would actually serve as a purpose.
Actually mooing would be even better.

So any reasons why something like this shouldn’t be a possibility?
I would suggest the Audio sub-forum, as those Devs with expertise in this matter usually reside there, but since Audio will be integrated (I’m not sure where…here?), it makes little difference.
Good luck.
They would have to account for number of players within an area with certain range, AND avoid audio looping, and maybe add further requirements just so that sound is really just played to announce a choke point.

Yeah, one of the things about PvP, WvW in particular, is situational awareness.
