Im really curious why don’t we get race change, I understand that the personal quest line and all but you should make it that if you want to race change you must complete personal quest line first and would make the game more competitive and making people me like gawww I want to be a charr but im a little asuran lol could someone answer this please and thank you:P

It would affect personal story, racial skills, racial armors/weapons, and probably few other things that could cause problems.

I don’t see this happen in a long time if ever.

Because Anet is holding their leg stiff on this one.

“Oh no, you’ll miss the story”
(I already completed each race story & path once…)

“Oh no, you’ll miss your armour”
(Make it accountbound already…)

“Oh no, you’ll miss racial skills”
(Nobody uses them in the game)

“Oh no, you didn’t go with that character”
(Neither did I start off with a female character with pink hair in hotpants, gender kit anyone?)

“Oh no… we’re out of reasons”
(But you always find another one, even if there isn’t)

Now we just have to go check the suggestions archive for all the topics they don’t want. :P

I’ve been wanting this for awhile. It would be really great if changing a characters race came with a book that let you access personal story missions for that race and you could play the ones that interested you.

And who cares if people have skills from multiple races? They would still only be used when people are goofing off. I think the only time I would use them is to go from being a tiny Asura into a huge Norn form like a bear.

Plus more money to the gem store. Win win anet.
