I was thinking of something and i thought that what if we made a gem cost for race change which means more $$$ in Anet pocket which means Alot of people will Pay Anet alot of money, then people wont worry about making a whole new toon just to make a new race in that same class. What do you think??

Not going to happen, Anet has already expressed their concerns with how they would deal with personal story and show an overall no interest in making race changes. Basically it probably isn’t going to happen, Thrall.

Yup, this has been the response to most of these threads, dont honestly expect it anytime soon!

Making more money means they’d have to sell enough of them guaranteed to fund the amount of programming changes it would require to make possible. I don’t think that enough people would spend money to change race. But even if they did make some money it’s not going to make them nearly as much as wings, minis, armor or weapon skins.

They’ve already said that there are problems with how race and personal story are tied together at character creation. And there is the race specific cultural armor, that might have to be allowed across all races if they did that.

I’d much rather have the ability to change classes over race, tbh. Especially with all the huff and potential complications a race change could include.

You’d likely even have less problems to deal with via class change pertaining to the personal story and other interactions from npcs.
