7/10 the gear looks nice but I have some disdain for charr! Here is my characters, guardian and engi.

Seems that new medium armor is uber popular, which is fine. But mix it up!

I like the look you are going for but I’m not particularly a fan on the colouring. Of course, the moustache makes up for that so 8/10.

I’m including 3 character shots, being a bit selfish but I’m looking for opinions on the looks as the people I hang out with in game don’t much care for that side of things. In order they are my necromancer, my elementalist and my work-in-progress guardian (she’s lv 18, I might take a liking to another look by the time she’s 80).

(edit) I didn’t look closely enough on the first one (kitten laptop 13"), and thought it was an asura, gave you too low a rating due to that. 8/10 for the necro

I find your elementalist sort of bland, I would probably see you in a dungeon and forget about it a bit later. Needs some flashiness! 4/10. Subtelty is great, to a certain degree.

Your guardian looks kitten for a level 18, 9/10! Could do with a meaner looking sword.

Here’s my mechromancer. Needs more cogwheels, and steamvents!

Color looks nice, especially in the dark. Meshes well with the mechanical necromancer look, although the white face markings tend to clash with the overall color theme. I’d give you an 8.75/10

Banono gets a (4/10) of me, green/blue combos aren’t my taste and then this blonde hair makes this chara look more of a paradise bird.
But then it all just matters to personal taste in the end anyways

But Blue/green? Must be the lighting. Here is a better pic. Though more chaotic.

Ele – 7.5/10 – Not too fond of the colors but she’s still very nice looking…
War – 8.5/10 – Cool combination, reminds me of Queens Blade on both pics
Guard – 7.5/10 – Not too keen on the flashy stuff myself, but the armor combo is nice…
Mes – 9/10 – Great pic and awesome armor/wep combination. Flashy but blends well…
Thief – 9.5/10 – Also love this pic… It looks sorta cookie-cutter but I like what I like and this pic is just bombtastic

Guardian – 6/10. Somewhat cluttered but I like it! A little.
Ranger – 9/10. Very unique use of the whispers’ hood and the ascalonian coat. I never see that! Also, I love the colors.
Thief – 4/10. Stereotypical thief is stereotypical :\

Thief, 9/10 — I really like the color scheme
Warrior 7/10 — again, like the color scheme, buy DAYAM that’s a lot of pointy things on there!
Guardian 8/10 — looks very knight-ish, as if you could be Lord of (insert town here)

9/10 Great colour scheme and mix and match of armour styles, Nice! I have no idea whats missing for that 10 but its kitten close!

9/10, The new light armor set for female’s is hawt, good colour scheme, and a sun catcher to match, all good stuff!

I have 7 character’s but these are the 3 which I think look best

8/10 for the sylvari, i like the charr tribal amor.

My main (mesmer): I think the head sizes a litle too big lol

8/10 – like the theme, but I’ve never liked Asura aesthetic that much, nothing against you

Auesis I love the color scheme and feather look on your armor, however I am not a huge fan of the staff with it. The colors don’t seem to work out too well, but I do like the flare of it. 8.5/10.

@Kalicutt 8/10 I love the unique white/gold aspect of your thief. You don’t see that around every day XD. But, (and I know that you cant control this) the green part of the fervid censer really doesn’t go with the white/gold aspect you have going on, and your hair could be a bit more lighter as well. Good job with everything else though ^^.

This is my thief. He is a fire/light/ooo~shiny theme (if you couldnt already tell that he likes shinies. what a skritt!)

I like the color scheme and armor looks bad***.

Calae; 7/10. I feel like the gold on your gloves/waist is much brighter and shinier than the gold on your shoulders/neck, and I wish there was some more gold around your feet to balance it out since there’s so much going on up above. I like the color scheme though.

This is my elementalist, she’s a human noble origin so I wanted something kind of frilly and elegant looking but not too over the top either.

ok I’ll rate you- saw your characters earlier.
I have some trouble with telling Charr apart but I assume all yours are the same character in different outfits with different weapons?

Golden Charr- 7.5/10. I like the contrast with the heavy armor and Kudzu and I really like the color scheme.
There is something off about it that I can’t put my finger on so that loses you some points

Winged theme Charr-9/10. My favorite by far and I think everything pulls together really nicely as a whole. The helmet is awesome.

Naked Charr is naked

Rifle Charr 8/10. Awesome action pick but really hard to see to rate.
From what I can see though I like the simplicity and colors and the whole I mean business vibe you have going

Human thief (?) 9/10. I like it a lot it is very simple the colors are natural and she looks like she blends into the surroundings, very nice.

Human Mesmer 5/10. Sorry but I just really do not like that set-up at all. just personal taste though nothing against you at all.

5/10 for Mesmer simply because dyes don’t match and that bothers me

8/10 for Engineer cause dyes look good, it’s a funny pose, and the backpack’s silly

I got 3 to show off, the Asura and his twin helpers

My only satisfied toon.

@Qin, 8/10 of Guardian, somehow got the tattered armor look to work for a Guardian, I usually a full heavy armor look or lighter armor look to fit.

6/10 Warrior, just really isn’t my style but good job getting it look right with the Hellfire stuff.

9/10 on your Elementalist, nice combination of armor and good dyes. Looks like a Water Elementalist

@OliverT, 7/10. Good looking character. Has a royal or noble look about him

I know you got a bad crit for your colors earlier but I love them- I think he looks awesome.

Personally I like it, usually don’t think the sylvari themed armors would go well with any other kind of armor, but it works on your engineer, kinda makes it look like the rest of the armor is under the cloak, and I like the colors you picked. Any brighter colors and would probably make the nightmare pieces of your armor stand out in a bad way IMHO, but look good on it.

I’d give it a 8/10, though, because the open chest on the sylvari nightmare chest looks a little off place with the rest of the character IMHO (though I know it’s not something you can do anything about).

Ok, here are mine, sylvari guardian and norn mesmer

What the heck the armor makes him look huge! 7.5/10, would be higher if I you had used a different chestpiece, I personally loathe that one.

Now I know it’s not really the purpose of the thread but I’m looking for a suggestion on dyes. I have used the first set ( Celestial, Midnight Ice, Autumn Sky ) for months now, and wanting to change up things a bit I went for the second one (Midnight Fire, Redemption, Celestial ). Yes, no? Suggestions? Keep in mind that is the weapon I use the most, the other being Zenith Staff or AC hammer.

Yes I know, no mix & match, woe me! I do have another set mix & match set in my mind, but I haven’t bothered getting the pieces right now.

Edit: Since the guy above me posted while I was writing I’ll rate him too. The guardian looks amazing, everything seems to fit him perfectly, 9/10. The mesmer will haunt my nightmares, but I suppose that was the look you were shooting for? If yes, another 9/10!

I actually really like the second color scheme and the overall look of the character. It almost has an oriental feel to it with the red like colors and yellows, as you said the only major downfall is no mix and match 8.5/10
I have three characters so here they are in the order of thief, necromancer and guardian: thief theme was a leafy ninja look, necromancer was a royal African theme, and guardian i went for an angelic kind of theme, tell me what you think

I reeeeeally like your Sylvari! No matter how much I try, my Sylvari never look good. =( I would give her 9.5/10.0 because … she doesn’t look like exactly a ninja, but still beautiful!

The Norn is spot on! 8.5/10.0 because I would use some light blue shade on the purple places.

The African Princess gets a 8.0/10.0 but that’s because I’m biased and prefer lighter colors. I would’ve dyed in Celestial instead of dark. The golden parts with deep purple gems look really good though. Very royal~

And this is my little Priory Apprentice, studying magic and hoping to become a competent elementalist some day~ Different shades of pink, celestial and small white golden details on boots and sleeves!

That plump little face, those itty-bitty eyes… she’s so cyoooot! Nice simple look as well. 9/10.

Here’s my fresh level 80 thief. Tried to give her a gunslinger look, though she’s wielding a sword and dagger instead of pistols.

@tien: Welltimed screenshot(effects..)^^ but looks more like a butcher to me. But the overall style fits good together and I like the skincolor. The hat on the other side isn’t my type^^ so I only give u 8.5 waha

2 new pics and one old one. I still dont like the leggings combined with the current chestarmor…but I cant find anything better

7/10 I like the armor but the glowing does not fit in my opinion.

The top one is my bandit/engi (not many choices if you don’t want a coat)
The bottom is my warrior (colors of the helm kinda remind me of a bee) im not sure how to finish his armor yet.

Really like steam-punkish looks of your engi, bur pink glasses and cliping horns hurts my eyes. (it hurts my eyes when Asuran ears are clipping too)
