A mail entitled “New Arrivals to Tyria.” Can I ask how many people got this mail? It’s basically Rox Whetstone telling the player that they should look for more friends/allies. To get more recruits for their guild or become apart of one. I take it most players who already reserved in a larger guild permanently did not get this. If this is the case then I have one thing to ask. Arena Net are you still working on the guild alliance system or did you give up?

I lead a guild and am in 3 others and I got it too.

I got it as soon as I logged in after the new patch was released (which was as soon as the download finished). I am in 4 guilds, and lead one of them.

I didn’t think it had anything to do with finding new people for guilds. I thought (and still do think) it is part of some upcoming content, or already released. I thought I was to look around for new NPCs, and talk to them.

It appears to be tied to the Great MMO Migration event, new players will bring letters of influence worth (i think it was datamined at) 5000 influence to their new guilds.

Ohh! Well, that’s cool. Lol, I would encourage them to start their own personal (bank) guild and use it there! Ha ha.

I figured it was tied to the Migration PR push, expecting “new” Tyria residents.

Or, maybe it’s tied to the Do Not Touch generator-towers?

I think it is safe to assume that the e-mail is not aimed at existing GW2 players, and is intended for the imagined tidal wave of incoming refugees.

I thought it was indicative of NPC’s… but having reread it, I have to wonder.

We’ll see what it’s about in due time.
