There’s one thing most people do not know.Those who know,keep this as secret,in order to keep high price of t4 materials.Hate inc.

All bags you get in SW,in order to get most gold,you need to open them on level from 53 to 56.Did not test above 56,but i tested below 53,and is not working,because you don’t get expensive materials.

So,all bags you get from SW,open on level 53-56.Only Bags Of Rare Gear,open on level 80.Why?Because Bags of rare gear,gives you only rare’s and sometimes exotic.Bags of rare gear,if opened on lvel 80,gives you most profit.

Rest of the bags such as [Embroidered Coin Purses] [Heirloom Seed Pouches][Bags of Gear] straight bank,log in level 53-56 character and enjoy all goodies.

Only difference between opening bags on level 80 and 56,is items you get scales with your level,and those blue and green items is where you get most of the gold.Salvage those,and enjoy rivers of gold my friends.By salvaging low level items,you get t4 materials worth from 7 gold stack to 19 gold stack.

Opening bags on level 80,gives you less gold,because items you salvage,gives you 2-3 gold per stack,and that’s 16 gold less than t4 most expensive material,aka Rugged Leather.

When you open bags on low level,you still get exotic materials,like Vial of Powerful Blood, Powerful Venom Sac,Elaborate Totem,Armored Scale,and many many other materials.

So again,only difference when you open bags on low level is,items you get,scales with level you open on.Everything else is same.

I saw a lot of people,who don’t want to do low level opening,because you don’t get Ectoplasm on low level,let me tell you,for that,you have Bags of rare gear.

Oh,how blind i was,i farmed SW 7 months,without knowing for this trick,and month ago,one guy told me about this,my weekly income was increased from 500 gold week,to 1200 gold week.

Lots of people asking in SW maps what to do with Bandit Crests?Buy Sandy Bag of Gear from SW vendor.15 crests and 80 copper.You can get some exotic item,in every bag you get item,and 5-9 Pile Of Silky Sand.With current price of Pile of Coarse Sand (16-17 gold stack) + low level items salvaging,there’s tons of gold waiting for you right there.

There’s one test i ran.

250 Bags of Gear opened on level 80 – 18 gold earned.

250 Bags of Gear opened on level 56 – 67 gold earned.

Level 80 materials (Silk Scrap,Mithril Ore,Thick Leather Sections,Elder Wood Logs)

Level 56 materials ( Rugged Leather,Linen Scrap,Hard Wood Log,Platinum Ore)

Spread out this “guide”.There’s no reason for you to earn less gold for your effort.

Even if 50 people find this useful,i will be happy.Lots of people have school,exams,wife and kids,job…And they do not have a lot time to farm gold,which they need in big numbers,especially because everything is locked behind heavy farm.

The number or players that read the forums is very low.
From that low amount of player, only a fraction have the character slot or the will to make a lvl 53~56 character.
From those selected few, only some didn’t know this already.
The demand for those materials is huge and this post won’t make any difference on the price, but we can hope that this become true, eh?

What about ectos?

What about exotics?

What about rares?

What about t6 exotic materials…

I haven’t meet person,who love to earn 70% less gold.It doesn’t matter if even 5 of them do this.No one else made guide,and i hate people keeping things for themselves.

If you have all chars,and most people you know,that doesn’t mean everyone has max chars and bought all possible char slots.

Statistics showed 3.100.000 people playing GW2 couple weeks ago.If 100 people see this topic,at least 5 of them will spread out this in guild,guild members have friends,friends have friends…

Good word spreads out quickly.

There are a lot of people in my guild that do know this but can’t be bothered to level a character to 53 just for this very purpose.

While true that opening bags like that yields more of those specific mats, i highly doubt that someone, like myself, with all his chars having the HoT specs, will buy another char slot and lvl a toon to be able to open those bags at that level.

Consider the fact that not everyone
- reads the forums
- wants to leave a toon at that level
- aims for different goals in making gold

A good idea, but it’s doubtful that most ppl don’t already know about it.

I have a lvl 55 ele which I open pretty much all bags on. Havent gone out of my way to purchase the green SW bags, though I probably could. I think I have a couple thousand crests….

I like to get gold, I’m just pointing that this knowledge exist for a LONG TIME, and you are a forum reader just found out about it, imagine someone that doesn’t, I like your guide, the information is all correct and great, my reply was about this guide affect the current market and lower the price of the material, and that won’t happen anytime soon.

Check this link it is almost 10 months old and people already knew about advantages of opening bags at ~lvl50 and the market keeps the same.

This has been posted from time-to-time, on here, reddit, and in map chat every once and awhile. Still earns great coin now as it did back then. For the ones that know of it and don’t do it for one reason or another, fine by me.

This post was not meant to be for 3.000.000 players.There’s tons of gold farmers and new players who do not know about this.

I know at least 20 people who do not know about this,and they play this game for a while now.Even if there’s 50 of them who do not know about it,my topic will make sense.

Again,small “guide” for those 24/7 SW event/cf farmers.SW is going to be once again popular,because there’s lots of legendary items waiting to be released and lots of new players,joining every day.

No it isn’t pointless. There are always people like me that are to lazy to

• make a lvl 53 (and keep it 53)
• move the bags to it and open them there.

Everyone that follows this guide

• earns a bit more money
• helps lazy people like me to spend less on these materials

If you’re farming for gold, yes, Silverwaste has been one of the best for a while. Most of us don’t have these bags to open as we are sick of Silverwaste after finishing achievements, farmed for a kittenest runs. Hell I barely recently opened my 1k champion bags after holding on to em for a few months.

I haven’t leveled a character without using Tomes for quite some time now.

I’m just playing the game and doing what I enjoy and not worrying about getting gold, but cheers to those who can farm Silverwaste(specifically chest runs) without falling asleep over and over and over again.

Level 56 10 stacks of Rugged Leather Section = 142 gold

Difference is 120 gold,by selling only one type of material.

Where’s Linen Scrap?Iron ore? Platinum Ore? Hard Wood Log?

Level 80 materials cost 2-4 gold stack.

Level 56 materials cost 14-18 gold stack.

250 Bags Of Gear opened on level 80 gives you 10-11 gold.

250 Bags Of Gear opened on level 56 gives you 70 gold.

And that’s only one stack of bags.You cant even begin to imagine how many bags i get weekly,and how much more gold i earn now,when i open bags on level 56.

Fact is (at least since HoT and the decrease of items from bags) that it’s only usefull to open Masterwork gear bags on lvl53-56. All exotic bags should be used with lvl 80’s for max profit.

But be my guest, if more farmers waste gold and open exotic bags on lowlvl chars than this will help the smart players to get more gold

Agreed, that’s the current difference and that’s more than a bit.
But, the more people follow the guide the smaller the difference become as the market-prices will change if more T4-5 leather/cloth than today will be produced by more and more people following this method.
Still there will be a higher gain, based on the lazy people and that was the topic of my post.

Someone told me this method exist for a year now,prices didn’t change that much.

If materials keep price even one gold more than t6 mats,it pays off.

Sorry,but you have no clue what you talking about.

Recent test

1000 bags of all kind opened on level 80 gave me 143 gold

1000 bags of all kind opened on level 56 gave me 260 gold

As i explained in topic,you get same amount of everything,doesn’t matter which level you open bags on.

Only difference is items scaling = when you open bags on level 80,you get items 68-80 level (by items i mean items like gloves,chest,leggings and feet…people sometimes do not know difference between item and material)When you open bags on level 56,you get items level 47-56

Take it as rude answer or not,its your choice.Next time,do actual test before you decide to disapprove something,and come out with real and valid arguments.Do not copy paste what you heard from guild member,friend,or what you saw somewhere on the internet.

I am doing actual tests,every time i respond,or when making topic,when comes to things like this.

Hey guys I was reading all you said, I checked the prices and I found out that this methide is stil viable because the price of lvl 53-56 materials are still higher than lvl 80.

Yeah I tried that, I now have 4 level 80 warriors lol.

53 is always better (and probably always will be) than 80. And it’s always within 5% or so of the ‘best’. In other words, if you have only one toon slot to devote to a “bag opener,” choose L53 and you’ll be maximizing your income (or close enough that it makes little difference).

I find SW so mind numbingly dull that doing it is an actual disincentive to earn gold. When getting shovels for guild halls I have, I actually dread going there. So gold may be great but going through the motions is hard.
