Quick story. Around the time of release, I created a Sylvari warrior. This warrior was intended to be nothing more than a farming mule— as warriors were the most effective class for the least amount of effort in PvE.

I was never fond of this warrior— so upon her creation, I named her Magic Find Bearer (as a sleight to people who rolled into dungeons with all MF gear… when that was a thing), and made her look like a tomato. I figured all salad heads were ugly, so I made her as ugly as possible. She existed to hold all of my human guardian’s stuff and make money.

I loved my guardian dearly… but no matter how many plastic surgery kits I used on her, something about her face always irked me. She had no jaw, and no amount of slider manipulation could fix it. At some point, a plastic surgery kit ended up in my warrior’s inventory so I decided to put my tomato under the knife. Just to see.

I was shocked— my salad head turned out to be a fabulous little munchkin. Suddenly, my spoiled prissy guardian became 10000x less appealing to me and ever since then, I’ve been a devout salad-head. Attached is my new & improved skull cracking asura kicking rampaging monster pixie.

[TL;DR]

Anyways— I’d like to see all of your guys’ beautiful Sylvari. IMO they offer the most customization & thematic diversity out of all the races. Post away!

We’ve seen Mordremoth Courtiers, who are covered in bark. So one of the woodier faces, possibly the mouthless mask one, along with bark textured skin in a dark color might do the trick. Add in the red glowing eyes mask and voila?

Proud owner of… too many salads :’p

I’ve posted a screenshot of my Sylvari crew on reddit recently, so here it is again !

Those are all my Sylvari characters (minus my Ranger that I forgot and I’m now too lazy to add).
I used a second account so the camera angle wouldn’t change, since most of my characters are on the same account. Then, a bit of work on photoshop, and, voilà !
There’s 3 engies, 3 elementalists, 1 warrior, 5 mesmers, 1 thief, 2 necromancers.

I use the mesmers to leave them in some hard to reach places so I can portal friends when needed, this is why I’ve got so many of them. I only have one that’s 80, the black & blue one (Le Fournisseur).
I’ve made a guardian recently, but I still have to level him and think about a nice heavy armor mix.

The second screenshot features the names.

I’m a roleplayer, so most of them have a little background.

Here’s my four. Guardian: This is her current armor (T3) though she’s had a number of looks over time.

Mesmer: My “Scarlet Pimpernel” character, so he has his disguise for Whispers operations and his foppish bright colors.

Necromancer: Her hair’s changed over time due to various RP incidents. She tends to grow her clothes in bright clashing pastels. These are slightly older shots; the second is her current hair.

And Warrior, not played since I got him to 80, no RP ever grew for him and warrior is not my fave profession.

sigh I really miss the racial forums, i loved the sylvari forum topic where you could post your beautiful salads…
I love sylvari character options, they are gorgeous. Sadly, i have deleted most of my sylvaris (only one remains, a necro, which is my oldest character), but i did keep the best screenshots of them

Top one is my guardian, deleted at lvl 80.
The second (on the left ofc) is my thief, named after my favourite tea (Milky Oolong) – i am seriously considering redoing this character because i am in love with how she looks.
The third is Ciara Eldersoul, my necro, my oldest character, which i don’t play too much sadly.

I know this risks opening a can of worms, but it needs to be said: there is nothing inherently evil (or inherently good!) in any skin tone, hair color, or combination of the two.

You needn’t wait. You can buy them any time to unlock them to wardrobe, then use transmutation charges to apply them to your armor.

Though then you’ll be using a lot of charges as you gear up over time if you want to keep the look in combat (you can always keep an RP set in your bags to change into when you want to look nice).

Or use outfits over your armor until you have your level 80 gear.
You can preview them in your Hero Panel before you buy them to see if they suit you (e.g. clipping or over stretched issues).

Huh, that’s good to know. I think I’ll still wait though, won’t take that long to reach 35 anyways. Already got her to 20 via a writ of experience, so the 15 Levels should easily be doable by just completing all the starting zones.

Yeah, I finally reached 35 and got the cultural armor. Woo. Kinda going for an autumn-themed character here, so lots of dark red and brown tones. Possibly not the most interesting look.

Here are my current Sylvari Baes. (Ele, Necro, Ranger, Guard, Mesmer, Warrior, Thief & Engie all accounted for) Chamerian needs a name change and I don’t know what her name will be….but it needs to be a planty kind of pun of some sort.

My Revenant will join my lovely garden when she can…I have her name reserved and a general idea what she will look like, but I cannot be sure how she’ll look in the end.
