I watched the newest video and now I am pretty hyped!
It looked really sinister and Lion’s Arch will be probably under siege.
There are only two questions lying in my mind: will Tengu come to help defending LA?
Who or what will besiege LA? Could it really be Primordus?
Last picture shows destroyed asura gate and air full of reddish glow – probably fire… and heroes of Tyria escaped primordus once by going through Asuran portal, it seems only logical he will destroy portals in the city.
I think dark times are ahead of us.

Wrong, Scarlets thumpers make a continent-wide earthquake destroying all the buildings, including the newly added player housing rendering them useless.
She then disappears until the next update.
Leaving players once again dissatisfied with more kitten content.

I think it means we’ll have to take the long way around. :/

Apart from your criticism the continent-wide eartquake seems to be logical outcome of those thumping machines. And we are back to Primordus… it is known that waking of elder dragon changes the landscape (emersing of Orr). And if he will come from Ring of Fire isles then coast of Tyria will be his first victim.

Sure, but even if he becomes a threat, Tyria will just hop back in those airships, pop a few in him and back to champ to the world bosses go the zergs.

Anyone familiar with the goa’uld tactic to conquer a target (goa’uld → Stargate)? Activate any gate to prevent it to be used as an escape way and than attack from the sky…

I noticed Evon Gnashblade stolling about in the BLTP building, something I never remembered seeing. He also had some (new??) dialogues- including his concern for the lack of security in Lion’s Arch due to Kiel. Interesting

I would actually think that he/she/it referred to War in Kryta, back in GW1, since the Karka Attack wasn’t really a siege.
Might be wrong of course ^^

If Scarlet is involved, who cares? It will be four releases of absolute garbage.

If there is a battle for LA it will be a massive zerg lagfest for 20 minutes then a cutscene then perhaps everyone goes back to the Queensdale zerg train…

What would be really cool is if Lion’s Arch was invaded but it wasn’t an instance or dungeon. What if it was the actual city filled constantly with events to fend of Scarlet’s army while you were in LA.

P.S. I’m also interested to see if the Tengu come to help through those portals being built….:)

If ANet uses the end of the Scarlet arc to explain the introduction of playable Tengu, ALL IS FORGIVEN!

I don’t see this to be terribly exciting. You know Scarlet is involved, so that’s an instant turn off. “But OMG, possibly a new dragon.” So? We already have dragons including the “big one” and it’s a bit of a snooze fest. What will we have, a Battle of Claw Island remake? Jam everybody into the zone so it crashes (think Southsun cluster fark) and get items in the mail as a “sorry”?

In the end, we grind for achievement points, gamble at RNG skins and place our newly acquired minis and backpacks in the bank and watch as the damage to the city is fixed. I simply cannot wait.
